Check out this guy's collection.I remember that quite a few GG'ers have a serious dvd movie fetish. Lucky for me, dvd addiction is one weakness I don't have. I'm fairly content just to rent. Though, if I did collect dvd movies, I'd buy the ones not normally available at Hollywood or Blockbuster.

I'm a TV DVD addict I have the entire DS9 collection and bought all of Buffy and Angel (minus Angel 5 which isn't out yet) in the last two months. I can knock off an entire season in one day.

I tend to go in streaks where I'll buy a bunch and then go a couple months and only by one or two, but I've consistently slowed down on the buying since I joined Netflix. Since joining I've pretty much stopped on the "impulse" DVD buy and only get the ones that I really want.

I have all three seasons of Alias and the first season of Magnum. That's it. That's the list.

I used to be a huge DVD addict. I had over 500 DVD's at one time.
I now have about 50 and I only buy 1 or maybe 2 a month and then it's only movies that I know I will watch a ton, like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.

I would be if I could afford it. As it stands I probably buy about 5-10 DVDs a year.

TV shows on DVD are . I've been slowly working on building up a Buffy and Angel collection and I count my The Office and Firefly DVDs in the top five DVD purchases I've ever made. I would like to collect the Star Trek series but the price tags on those is just a bit too high for my tastes.

Hi. My name is Whiteboyskim, and I'm a DVD addict. I sleep/think/fantasize about movies 24/7, and DVD is the smoothest form of heroin I've ever tried. With Shawshank Redemption SE out this week, two Buffy and one Angel box set I've not purchased yet, and countless other gems that I just can't afford, I'm in a state of shock and denial at the same time.
Please help me. Donations are greatly appreciated, and cash or money order will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding in this, my hour of need.

I'm definitely a DVD addict. Luckily, I've become very picky about my buys in the last two months. Before, I'd buy anything that hit the shelves the first week. Now I grab movies I defintely liked or really wanted to see, but never got around to.
I don't even know how many DVDs I own. I have a partial list on DVD Profiler, but it's terribly incomplete.

I would like to collect the Star Trek series but the price tags on those is just a bit too high for my tastes. Check out eBay. You can save $30-$40 per season and still get them brand new and shrink-wrapped. I'm a bit of a DVD addict; I have around 150 DVDs, plus about 16 seasons of Star Trek: TNG, DS9, Homicide, and 24.

I have to say Netflix has changed my DVD habits. Before I wanted to own everything just to say I have it and its mine. Now Netflix makes it easy for me to see what I want, with only a day or two to wait. The only DVD's I've bought now are the biggies: Lord of the Rings, Cowboy Bebop, Star Wars, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and about 10 others.
While I love watching TV shows on DVD, I can't see ever watching most of them more than once.[/b]

while i don't think i've reached "addict" status yet, i do have a fairly rapidly growing collection. currently, i have about 50 movies, a few music DVDs, and have collected the Transformers, Beast Wars, and Invader Zim TV shows. i guess collecting complete seasons of a TV show might qualify someone as an addict of some sort my Invader Zim collection will be complete this Tuesday when the third and final disc is available...makes me want to sing the Doom song

DVDs? Been limited in what I've can afford lately, so I've been forgoing some potentially great movies for some of my favorite TV shows and music videos on DVDs. Half of what I've gotten this year is TV or Music related.
