Wow, what a terrible, terrible movie.  I saw it at the cheap theater for $3 and I still feel like it was over priced.

If they could have just done one thing well it might have been an ok "b" movie but everything was bad.  The story was non-existent.  Which isn't bad but what was there didn't make a lot of sense.  We don't even know the names of most of the humans before they are killed so we really don't care.

The CGI was just crappy.  They couldn't even make the snow look realistic.  The fight between the alien and the predator just looked terrible.  It was like what a teenager raised on WWE would expect for a fight instead of how two totally different species would fight.  Come on - swinging the alien around and around?  And the big finalie ...please  The queen alien kept changing size depending on what she was near.  In on scene she is tall enough to topple a building but then while chasing the lead she is only 8-10 feet tall.   Can't they grasp the basic concept of consistency?

All in all it was a painfull movie to sit through as a fan of the series.

On and why the heck does the predator mark the woman on her cheek instead of her forehead?  I just couldn't grasp it.  He does his own forehead, and if you read the books they mark their forehead but her head was too pretty?

I don't think I'll ever see this movie, even when it comes on cable.  I want my memories of the series to be untainted by a movie that  was put out solely for the purpose of milking a cash cow.

Meh, I thought it was about as fun as someone can expect from the concept of 'Hey, let's make a movie where some Aliens fight some Predators!'.  I don't think it would be fair to hold this movie to the level of Freddy vs Jason, because of course Freddy and Jason are individual icons while no one Alien or Predator is an icon.

I had fun in the MST3K sort of way.

I'll probably buy the DVD just for that purpose.

That and the "I'm a consumer whore!" quotient is always there too.

I actually kind of enjoyed the movie

I had no desire to go see it and when I was hijacked by a friend to go see it with him, I thought my life was going to end

However, I ended up kinda liking it.  I did not take it as a serious movie, but a movie to just have fun with

If you watch it for the sole purpose of seeing a Hollywood Action movie, its not that bad.

If you try to take it seriously, then you are in trouble

I knew it was gonna suck, but I also knew I was going to go see it regardless of that little bit of fact. I expected it to blow, wasn't disappointed, and just had fun with it instead.

I just hope they let the Alien franchise rest in peace now, unless someone like Scott or Cameron (or even one of those two!) comes along and decides to treat the milieu with respect and <gasp> pay attention to what came before.
