Tareeq, glad you liked it.  Recently re-read HoL to confirm whether my enjoyment of the book was a "right time/right book" thing, or whether it was really something special, and I think I concluded the latter.  I dug it maybe just as much the second time through.

As for unfinished forum biz...I can't think of anything.  We've got a "music listening  to now" thread, if we don't have a book thread, we'll get that soon...

...and I don't mind taking political discussion to "that other place", so it's Saul Good.

Hey, thanks, Warning... I just check into Raptorman and was saddened that it hasn't been updated in over a month.  I then saw in his forum that he was in military school and just got out a few days ago... so updates will commence. JOY!

Speaking of House of Leaves, I want to thank whoever recommended Nabokov's Pale Fire in that thread.  Finished it today and enjoyed it.  It didn't grab me as much as 'House' did, but I could see a lot of similarities in structure/theme and it was a very interesting and challenging read.

As far as other unfinished business, I went through the trouble of getting out my DVDs, taking the perfect screenshot and hosting it to post in the Lesbians thread- but never got the chance to see if anyone responded and found the picture as amusing as I did.  Now just what are these two talking about here?

Two things.

1) Nope I was not \/\/olverine.  I started a thread before GG died about how I ran over my cat's tail accidentally and took her to the vet to get her fixed up.  Caligula posted his typical trollish picture of dead cats and made a remark about \/\/olverine.  I called him, as did others, on his crap.  He then posted the picture again in my thread and later followed a post of mine in the Trading Place with the same picture.  He was reported several times which, I suspect, led to...

2) His banning.

For one brief shining moment I had a certifiable internet stalker!  My wife and kids were so proud of me!
