I don't know what it is, but ever since their debacle performance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien I really haven't been able to listen to any of their stuff. have you ever had a band give such a bad performance they turn you off their music?

ever since their debacle performance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien What happened on Conan? They did a horrible rendition of 'We're Going to be Friends'. It was like they were phoning in themselves phoning in the song. |

Saw one of their videos once, thought it was quite good. I don't remember the song itself being anything special, just the standard commercial rock/pop, but the visuals were very clever. I don't think I've ever heard anything else by them unless it was anonymous bar background music. So no, they aren't annoying me. |

I've always found them annoying. I found Jack White doubly annoying when he was part of the asstastic theme song for Quantum of Solace. Yuck. |

I do not think live performances are their strong point since Meg (look at them titties  ) White has anxiety issues. I find them annoying because if they do have a hit all the radio stations play that song once every 3 hours for 6 months straight. Anything will be annoying after that. |

They rock and Jack White is one of the best front men out there today. That he gets all that sound from 1 guitar is amazing.

i heard he wrote 7 Nation Army in the hope of it being a Bond Tune,it does have a Bond type riff/thing to it...guess he got his dream with Another way to Die,i quite liked that song too |

White Stripes have a sound that makes them palatable to any station that plays rock or pop to play their music, well except classic rock stations. So even if I change the station several times through the day, I still here the same song several times. Even on XM/Sirius, White Stripes gets played on several channels. Other than U2 I cannot think of another band that gets overplayed to their extent. |

I've got Elephant and White Blood Cells and like them both. I'd heard their newer stuff wasn't as strong so I never felt compelled to check them out.
