Not JZ either.

This guy just stuck around the Weekly Value forum, IIRC

I sure hope we don't lose some of Value/Hardware Help people.

Finally!

I was going through some serious withdrawl.

I don't know if this is the right place, but wanted to say hi.

Seems strange joining a site for console games when we don't even own a console, but as a long time GG'er, had to let everyone know we were still around (by "we" i mean me and "Maelef the Dad"...some of you old time GG'ers may remember us...and his foot)

In searching around for some info on what happened to GG, i discovered this site. If GG is in fact dead, then i hope you here at CG will accomodate us pc users.

In any case it's good to have a place to go where i imagine eventually everyone over at GG will migrate over here and we'll have our community back.

Hello again to all....as a newbie all over again

I'm here, thanks for thinking of me.  I spent most of my forum time either on Gone Gold or on Quarter to Three, and am also one of the infamous #GG regulars.

There are a lot of people I don't want to lose touch with though, despite my being a generally aloof and antisocial bastard.  I'll accept any Yahoo buddy requests that come my way to make sure that doesn't happen!

SJSharks here,

Well I finally looked around today and realized something happened and made my way over here after reading news at Qt3.

I never did like my member name on GG even though I love the Sharks so I decided to go with my sig from GG as my member name here.

I'm glad to see most people have found a place to post and thanks to everyone at CG.

(another lost gonegolder here)

First, hello consolegolders!  It's nice to feel so welcome in your forums.

I feel like the ancient mariner after all that the trouble that I've gone through to figure out that GG was down.  At first, I thought my internet connection was down.  After about eight hours- and the revelation that I was, indeed, having internet problems, I got things back up and running, but still no Gonegold.  After reinstalling windowsXP and discovering that I could not connect to GG at work either, I realized that something must be wrong with the site.  So I began doing a bit of searching to see what I could find out.  Since my google skills are atrocious, I found out nothing.  Next, I remembered that the Meal had a site somewhere- he had posted pcitures of his wedding, so I decided to try there to see if he posted anything about it.  Strangely, I found two sites, one which had not been updated in years and another that I could not connect to.  I began to smell a conspiracy.  Someone was sytematically erasing all connections to GG.  As luck would have it, I had subscribed to a yahoo group for a GG-racing league, but hadn't had time to participate in months, and had let it fall by the wayside (and the messages were being sent to my spam box).  For no reason whatsoever, I opened a recent message from the group that confirmed that GG was down and indicated that some people were congregating here.

So, here I am.  It's funny that some things become such a part of a routine that you can't seem to envision yourself without them.  Hence my conclusion that there was a problem with my connection or computer rather than simply realizing that the site was probably down.
