Any electricians around?

So two sectors of my house are without power. Could the problem be at the fuse box? None of the switches show off and the stove which works at 220v is fine. Am I looking at a huge bill to rewire the house?

Try resetting the switches anyway.
Sometimes they dont flip all the way to the off position.

Ya your 220 is a separate circuit. Is your fuse box the old kind with screw in fuses or the block type fuses? As said, try resetting them anyways. Were you doing something new at the time? Have a lot of stuff on at the same time on a single plug?

Wiggle the switches.  Just reset them all.

Do you have any GFCI switch outlets?  If those are tripped, the other outlets along the line go out too.  Just press the reset button.

Some houses hide one in the garage. My bathroom and outside power went out. Forgot all about the garage gfci which was behind some junk. Felt stupid once I found it and remembered since I had fiddled with the fuse box and bathroom gfci trying to figure out what was wrong.

Well, the power is restored. The problem was  in the box... two burnt wires. Only $75.00 to fix.  On a Saturday!
