I've been listening to Coast to Coast am for about 6 years now.  Not religously, because I don't stay up all night, but I catch it every now and then when I've been working night shift and can't sleep.

Anyway, as you know it's usually a mixed bag of interesting guests, and insane crackpots.

I came across some discussion about one of Art's favorite guests Mel Waters, and found a site to download one of Mel's visits on Art's show.  If any of you have heard this, let me know what you think.  The guy is crazy, but for some reason you can't help but not stop listening.

I remember a few Halloweens ago seeing a website about a hole/cave somewhere where a dude explored and took pictures. Really fascinating and creepy stuff, true or not.

I used to listed to Mr Bell often until he left the first time, then it was hit or miss. Now I can't since I'm working then.

Which guy on Tool's album, I haven't heard that CD in a while.  Was it the guy talking about California separating into the ocean.

I used to listen to a lot of Art Bell, but after awhile I realized that he never called anyone on their statements.  He just let them talk, usually without challenging their claims.  How many predictions has that Ed Dames guy, the remote viewer, made that were wrong?  I've lost track.  And yet he comes on every few months.

George Noory is fine, but his interests are pushing the show away from some interesting topics in favor of more "casual" ideas like ghosts, etc.  Art seemed to have a broader view of what he could cover.

Well, I just went back over the two albums that I have of theirs and I guess it was from Lateralus. Title was Faaip de Oiad. Apparently the caller later admitted it was a hoax, though it was strange that the satellite went out during the broadcast.

The song I originally thought about was Cearo Summability which is your California breaking into the sea thing.

I still wouldn't mind hearing the full broadcast without all the synth.

I actually liked the fact that Art never tried (At least when I listened) to refute anyones claims. He would question to get a more complete picture and perhaps reveal the person was full of it. But in general he let the listener decide which in this day and age is refreshing. I'm sure after each show bulletin boards or forums (Whichever were more widespread for the time) would be wild claims for this way or that.
