This is the pilot episode of the animated series Amazing Screw-On Head which is nine hundred kinds of funny. The great Paul Giamatti himself voices Amazing Screw-On Head, a head that screws itself onto his various robotic bodies and is a secret agent battling the occult for President Lincoln during the Civil War. His arch-nemesis? The foul Emperor Zombie his former manservant who got a little too familiar with the evils of the occult and is brilliantly voiced by David Hyde Pierce. All of this is animated in the style of the Mike Mignola (creator of Hellboy) comic from whence it came.

It's 22 minutes of unfettered hilariously deranged brilliance. The best part? We get to vote on it to ensure that Sci-Fi orders a full season of it and immediately gets this puppy into production. The survey is at the link listed above. Forthwith, my geek friends, this is great stuff! biggrin[/url]

I think you meant Mike Mignola?

That was pretty good and definitely has some potential.  I can't say that I liked the first couple minutes, though.  You were really just thrown in there and had no idea who anybody was or what was going on.  I really figured that something was screwed up and I had started watching in the middle.  That style of action before the intro may work well after the show is established, but not for a pilot episode.  The Mr Dog thing is also going to get old if they keep running it into the ground.  Speaking of, was that some sort of sand-filled rubber zombie-dog or what?

Overall, it seems like with the irreverant humor it would be a better fit for the crowd that watches Adult Swim or something other than Sci-Fi (which pretty much only shows shitty movies like "Python vs Your Mom 2").

Did you know that James Buchanan was the only president who was never married?

I'd love to see more episodes, but also agree that it seems more Cartoon Network's speed than Sci-Fi's.

It was ok. Got a couple chuckles. I like the premise though. need to see more to be sure.  My first impressions of Korgoth were much better though.

Other highlights:

"Why steal a book you can't read? That's silly."

The speed with which Zombie says "Do I look mortal to you?"

"Ewww."

"I get enough of that from this one."

"Be bold. I command you!"

"Not the face!"

That was fantastic, and I'd definately like to see more.  My favorite line:

'Then say it.'
'...Poppycock.'

Wish they let you make more comments. It really does seem more fit for AS,  which is actually a compliment to Sci-Fi. I didn't see the point to Mr Dog. Part of me wants to see it take off, but the other part wants to see it dropped and AS pick it up and give it a better home.

Another good line (Taken from memory)

Another one that sank in only later was this:

Lincoln: "Groin's looking out for your behind, Head! You can't keep him at arm's length!"
