I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you all to do the right thing.  Do your duty.  Vote for Chris "Christmas" Rodriguez to replace Santa this year.  A vote for Chris "Christmas" Rodriguez is a vote for Christmas truth.

I remember when I first found these videos online way back before there was YouTube or "viral" anything.  On dialup from my freshman dorm room.  That would have been '96-'97.  Awww, yeah.  Good times.  icon_biggrin

I think there were about 13 of these things, but not nearly that many are on YouTube that I can see.

Are you trying to make some of us feel old?  (old man voice) Back when I was a freshman in college, we didn't have the internet! (old man voice off)  I do remember posting on newsgroups back in '91 when I started college and I'll admit to a month or two of MUD; we thought things were cool back then with that.

BBS's man.... The old ones that could only have 1 user connected at a time FTW!  dial up, post, log out, wait a bit, dial up to see if there was a response, repeat as necessary....

Yes, yes, yes.  But I was downloading videos, not accessing some archaic text message board.  I mean...

Now you're just distracting everyone from the greatness that is Chris "Christmas" Rodriguez!

MIMEOGRAPH!!!!!

Invented by Alexander Graham Bell. Silent form of communication. Utilized an equally spaced number of unemployed actors wearing black outfits and white facepaint to communicate simple messages great distances. Failed due to the communication line's inability to withstand the elements or message recipients punching them in the face.

I have my Commodore 16 sitting around here somewhere.  I suspect the cartridge 120 baud Hayes modem is long gone though...
