I don't mean to keep bringing  up work, but...found out last night at 11:00 that my boss is taking a new position with a different team.

She's been my boss for a little less than a  year and a half and it's the first period (other than the first 8 or so months after I started) of the 5 that I've been with the company that I've had some sense of stability with regard to who directs me.  Prior to that, my manager relationship tenure was on the order of 3-5 months and that makes it very hard to build a working relationship or have someone champion the work you're doing.

She's a great boss, very sharp, doesn't micro manage etc.  And now she's no longer mine.  <sigh>

I wonder how many mangers I'll have in 2007  crybaby

New Bosses can be fun.....Keep an open mind and maybe they will be one of the best bosses you have had.

Okay, okay...  I'll be your boss.  Where do I send my application.  My dry cleaning is hanging out in front of my house.  They pick it up but you might as well grab it while you're bringing me coffee and homemade muffins.  The flour and sugar is in the cupboard over the coffee maker and the eggs, milk and blueberries are in the fridge.

My current boss is kind of insane. She has no social skills whatsoever, which means she hardly realizes when she's being a complete ass. Which is at least once a day.
HER boss is also nuts. We were all really hopeful that, since the person she would be replacing was half-incompetent (like "what is an ATM?), this new person would be a life saver. WRONG!
I've been meaning to get out for over a year now. I'm a failure!

But look forward to a new boss! Or become that boss yourself.

My boss gave me a 6 pack of home brew last week. No matter what he does now, I like him.

Heh, for a while it was like that for me as well.  We called it 'Sup de jour' as we literally had 5 different bosses throughout the year.  It was maddening and it caused my 'review' for that year to be 7 months late.  Wheeee....
