No 80's listing is complete without Dexy's Midnight Runners and "Come On Eilleen". The quintessential 80's one-hit-wonder.

LOL,Adam Ant...damn,i used to always put a band aid across my nose when singing to Stand And Deliver Adam Ant's stuff holds up remarkably well. I was a huge fan in high school/college and have seen him (both with the Ants and solo) more than a few times. I even found an old concert guide from a show a few years ago at my parent's house while visiting. It's too bad he's turned into a bit of a loon. He's attempting a comeback but he's very...odd...at times.

Eel, do you use Pandora? Their 80s Pop prebuilt genre station features a lot of the artists that have been mentioned here.

Not as odd as that guy from Dead or Alive. For the love of god, don't do that to a fella... I believe that may be an unintentional double-entendre.

And not Berlin's "Take My Breath Away", Soft Cells "Tainted Love", Europe's "Final Countdown" or Nena's 99 Luftballons" AKA "99 Red Balloons" ? Come on... Eileen.

Snap, I forgot to mention the Talking Heads. I love Fear of Music and Remain in Light.
Also, I dig "Paul's Boutique" by the Beastie Boys.
OK, so let's break it down a little further. Which album should I start with for these artists?
Prince The Clash Adam Ant Peter Gabriel The Smiths Joy Division The Police
Here's some solid albums in general: Was Not Was (What Up, Dog?) Culture Club (Colour by Numbers) Peter Gabriel (So) Michael Jackson (Thriller) Billy Joel (An Innocent Man) Phil Collins (No Jacket Required) John Cougar Mellencamp (Scarecrow, Uh-Huh and American Fool) George Michael (Faith) Van Halen (1984) Human League (Dare) Cyndi Lauper (She's So Unusual) Crowded House (Crowded House) Living Colour (Vivid) Def Leppard (Pyromania) Madonna (Madonna) U2 (War and The Joshua Tree) ZZ Top (Eliminator) Janet Jackson (Control) Guns and Roses (Appetite for Destruction) Pretenders (Pretenders) The Police (Synchronicity) Prince (1999) Paul Simon (Graceland) The Clash (London Calling)
