That looks very cool.

Though, ATB, I am amazed at how violence in film/TV/video games is cool by you, but any connotation of sex is bad.  A little hypocritical, no?

Always wanted to read Frank Miller's graphic novel this is based on, which itself is based on a real event.  I've seen a great documentary on this event and I imagine it will make a kickass film!

The movie looks visually stunning, but not nearly over the top as Sin City was, but still very amazing. Lots of great colors and lighting going on. I'm REALLY impressed so far. Contiuning the comparison to Sin City, I thought the story there was really butchered by the fact they cut it up into pieces, I prefer it to be one flowing story. Probably just a preference thing.

It won't load for me.

I normally don't have any problem with youtube stuff frown

*edit*

It looks like Warner Brothers went apeshit on everyone and had everyone kill their links to it. What bullshit.

Interesting ... a sort of distorted, hyper-realistic, superhuman take on the battle of Thermopylae, which is indeed a historically classic doomed "last stand" senario.

I read a book a while back called Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield that was about the battle of Thermopylae. It was really entertaining. Not amazingly written, but a great fun book.

Looks a lot like Troy. (Not that that's a bad thing as Troy was an excellent movie.)
Plus that little lesbian kiss in there sealed the deal for me.  icon_biggrin

hmm...looks cool, but so did the Sin City trailer.

I'm guessing it's going to be just as depraved as Sin City turned out to be.  icon_lol

This would be the only thing keeping me from seeing it. I still wish I'd never sat through Sin City. It's just so depraved and pointless.  Ugh.
