so we've gone from the first half of the season where everything goes Jacks way to the second half where Jack cannot get a break...

My guess is the bio-crap inhalation will be the impetus to get Kim to visit him before he dies.  Will probably be some deal like he has 6 hours to live - unless he can get the magic antidote that Jon Voigt has kept in his pants.  So he'll get to see Kim one last time before he thinks he is going to die.  But Angelina Jolie will show up at the end and shoot a bullet in a circle that kills her and Jon Voigt and drop the antidote in Jack's dying hands.  Kim will defeat Angelina's mountain lion guardian and feed the antidote to her Dad as the clock winds down!  End of season (don't know if Jack lives or dies).  Beep beep beep.

I half wonder if this is a setup to make Season 8 the final season- At the end of this season Jack is given 6 months or whatever to live and then next season picks up when he doesn't have much time left but he has to give every bit of strength he has left to save the day one final time.

Have we just seen the beginning of the end of Jack Bauer? It appears that season 8 will be 24's last (Kiefer Sutherland and Fox only agreed to do the show up until 2010 at this point), so I can totally a see a "Jack Bauer's last stand" type of season next year taking place a couple of weeks after this one, where Jack is slowly deteriorating and eventually dying at midnight of the final episode, to a silent countdown.

If Day 8 will be the last, Jack's gotta go out triumphantly in a blaze of glory and patching things up with his daughter.

OK, so the Feds only had permission to search that one building and that's how the bad guys are making a pretense of cooperating.  Why can't they just get a Presidential order to search the whole compound?

I think I may be the only one on this board who doesn't find her  drool levels of hot. She kind of loooks like a skeleton with freckles painted on it and a red wig. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a dude and if the opportunity presented itself I would suck it up and take one for the team. But to me she is really kind of Kate Batelloish.

Hahahahahaha. So that's how they're going to bring back Spawn. I hate to say it gang, but it looks like Tony may go up in smoke as next week's sacrifice. Then Spawn shows up. The losers? 24 fans everywhere. Not a good trade off in the slightest. Decent ep but nothing spectacular. I really hope Aaron just up and shoots the daughter then walks away saying something about how she sullied the memory of the great David Palmer. smile

Seriously. Logan can be "alive" and trying to take over the world and Aaron just has to up and un-retire "for one last mission against his ultimate nemesis." That would be awesome. smile

Am I the only one who thought that Starkwood's missiles looked like something that they bought from the garage sale of a Bond villian? I expected Jonas to be petting a white cat after I saw those.  Next week, he tells the president that he'll launch them unless they pay Starkwood one million dollars.

Like One Million Dollars would be much to a company that massive.  That is lame,  he should ask for 1 billion, or at least 500 million.

I'm predicting Freckles tracks down Kim and tells her that her dad is about to bite the big one without her help. Kim will come to her dad's rescue, and Jack will be back in biz for next season.

I sure hope Tony doesn't get killed off. Jack's gotta have a top notch sidekick. Or is Jack Tony's sidekick?

Those F-18s were already late and were probably seconds away.  Surely they could've dropped their bombs before Jonas could've launched his missiles?

Hodges clearly told his men during the last episode to move the cannisters that were ready for deployment. In other words, the FBI may know where the original weapon cannisters are, but they don't know where the missiles are. They are probably nearby, but there's no way for them to know.

or, you know, they have to open some doors to launch the missiles, just have the F-18's circle and blast the launch bay as soon as they open.  seriously, this president (who does not deserve the capital P) is a Pussy.

Hang in there. They're just yanking yer chain. Things are never what they seem. They gotta do some major plot twists to keep you off balance.

But wait, if we expect the plot twists, then maybe they won't do them. So maybe Tony is evil and Hodges is good and Walker works for Juma.

I'm soooo confused....

Some details on Season 8 from Entertainment Weekly - It will be set in New York and feature a new high-tech version of CTU (which will presumably still not do background checks on employees slywink)  Also, (spoilers in the sense that the returning characters mentioned obviously survive Day 7)
Spoiler for Hiden:
Renee and President Taylor return, and Chloe returns to work for the new CTU (hopefully in a larger capacity than the last few seasons).

No kidding. But I'm love love loving this season. Best one thus far, period, IMO. If they stick the landing, I will go absolutely bonkers. Knowing that they shut down production for a few weeks to ensure that the finale was rock solid gives me hope. But can we officially get Spawn out of there? I'm all for more Jon Voight but more Elisha Cuthbert outside the pages of Maxim? Nooooooo. I did like her daughter's name, but seriously. The one shining light of season 6 was no Spawn anywhere in sight.

Spoiler for Hiden:
More Rack Bauer is a good thing. Man, does she fill out a bullet proof vest quite nicely. smile
