My take on the Ranger-Caps series; I think the Ward blunder will prove to be a series momentun changer. I hope the Caps find a way to fight back and take it, because I'm no fan of the Rangers, but I'm skeptical they can do it now. We'll see though; the Caps have a coach that was a very gritty and resilient player that seems to have translated into his style behind the bench, while the Rangers have a bitchy drama queen.

I much prefer the Devils over the Flyers. I have a friend who is a diehard Flyers fan and I'm about ready for them to exit so he can stop talking about them, haha.

They need to temporarily melt the ice and then re-freeze it with his feet in place to keep him in place.  Not like he moves side to side well anyway, and that will at least keep him from handing the puck over with an open net.

Guess who the official was?  Yep - Steven Walkom.  The guy who didn't call the penalty when Hossa got knocked out.  The guy who didn't call the major when Pietrangelo got driven head first into the boards.  And now this one.  Why is he still allowed to do games when he keeps missing these damn things?

Wow - what a show by the Caps. Think you could make a case for goalie interference on that Rangers tally, but the Caps actually sucked it up and got it done anyway. Notice Joel Ward got put on the ice in the last minute, too.

So... seven one-goal games in the first round, and five of six already in the second round. I'm thinking that whoever gets Game 7, it's going to be won the hard way too.

Whew. And I don't even have a way to watch these things on the tube. I've checked online, and I follow along via NHL.com and ESPN, but it still bugs me a pay channel (NBC Sportsnet, formerly Versus) gets exclusives on all the playoff games. I don't think even Saturday night's game will be on regular NBC because it's not a day game.

Though the way the Caps have been this playoffs, I can't barely stand it to watch sometimes. It's like you're watching through your fingers fearing the next train wreck mistake, or winning goal.

The Coyotes are a nice pick too, who would have anything against them?

I can't stand the Coyotes, they're a team without a true fanbase that until a few days ago were owned by the NHL. They've been subsidised by the league to the tune of 10's of millions some seasons and they're such a syphon and epic fail in Glendale that they've actually negatively impacted other sports. They would've have moved a long time ago if it wasn't for weasel Bettman having his ego wrapped up in their fate. And the saddest thing - despite advancing to a conference final they probably still won't fill seats next season and still likely lose money. If ever there was a team that didn't deserve postseason success it's them!
