Son of a Bitch Penguins...loosing a game 4-3 on OT after building a 3-0 lead.
My Caps have been doing that all season. It's an art.

League investigation underway already. But was Crosby trying to punch people in the crotch afterwards?

Cool, I didn't think Milbury still had enough clout with the League to buy a deliberate missed offside.

Oh man, full herp derp there by Staal. Granted the puck took an unexpected bounce, but he didn't even attempt to put a body on Voracek.

He got caught watching the puck instead of his man...Something the Pens have been doing for the past 10 games or so.

Actually works out for the League/Pens (They are the same thing, someone come up with a name. "Pen-H-L"?).
It's only one game, so they'll easily come back and what happened tonight invites a lot of Penguins talk.
"What went wrong?" "Can they come back?" "Reaction to 'devastating' loss" "Crosby bring them back to overcome adversity" "Possibly the greatest comeback in history after losing that emotional game one" "Toughness to fight back in game two"

Shea Weber just bashed Zetterberg's head into the glass WWF style. While really amusing, I think that may warrant a suspension.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Burrows gets DESTROYED on his last shift. Then goes and acts like a bitch to Richards (the guy who destroyed him), gets punched in the face and falls down again. Then flubs the puck to Brown for the empty netter.
Ladies and gentlemen, Alex Burrows!
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Oh and the full youtube minus the flub leading to the EN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mVgeoqoP58And apparently I was incorrect. i was too busy marking out over the hit live to pay attention to Burrows antics after the whistle. By the way he went down, I assumed he actually was punched in the face pretty hard. He was not. He just spazzed and dove to the ground trying to draw a penalty. MY BAD, ALEXANDRE. MY BAD.

There was also this bit of ugliness during the game, where Bitz rails Clifford's head into the glass. Got the 5+game for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was suspended as well. In shocking news, this time Clifford is the boardee instead of the boarder. Who knew? http://youtu.be/6irIRUs1oEcUnfortunately Clifford didn't come back to the game after the hit. This caused a lot of line shuffling for the Kings for half the game, which is part of why Penner was on the ice rather than King on the Richards/Carter line for the GWG.

I believe Weber thought he was hit high and from behind (which I think he was) so he took things into his own hands.

Yikes that was just bad.
It astounds me that the Nucks are able to avoid the diving all season, and game one of the playoffs they are flopping around like fish out of water.
The officiating is just getting laughable in the NHL. The inconsistency (both ways) is a joke. That was a bad hit by Byron Bitz, and he got what he deserved for sure.. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets a game or two. The problem I see, is that a guy like Keith gets a 2 min. minor for his elbow on Dank?
Anyways nice game by the Kings, AV needs to stop dicking around with his lines.. especially in the playoffs. I'm glad Luongo had a decent game.

Yeah, I think so too... but I still bet he sits. Out of all the retaliatory options, that's a pretty dumb one.

And, of course, it takes a non-Red Wings fan to point out that, just maybe, Zetterberg did something wrong, too.

Pretty craptastic effort by the Canucks - looks like they're back to playing the way they were before Daniel got injured. Giving up two 3 -on- 5's in the 1st is just foolish. If they don't put Scheider in net to save them from their follies, they're out.

Compare their records for the regular season. I'm betting Coach V comes back with Luongo next game, and with his psychological composure he'll probably play poorly.

Luongo could only be blamed for the Richards 5 on 3 goal. The other two he had ZERO shot on. And he prevented at least 5 clear cut goals with some great saves. That one goal aside, I don't think he could have played any better.

Damn, that sucks. It wasn't immediately after the accident that he went for the bench, but once he did, you knew something was seriously wrong. Glad to hear the prognosis is good.

He was fined $2,500. It's not like there was no supplementary discipline. The $2,500 fine is the largest the NHL can give out under the collective bargaining agreement.
