Not saying it is a first...I am just glad it is there. Typically it draws a few thousand fans who are unable to get tickets for the games, but want to be part of the atmosphere. Is that LED screen at the Prudential Center year round, or just for the playoffs?

No idea about the screen - Like most hockey fans, I've never been to the Pru Center.

Philly - Pittsburgh is going to be epic.
As I'm currently visiting with the in-laws in Pittsburgh, I made the mistake of wearing a Flyers T-shirt yesterday without even thinking about it. I am apparently now a marked man in Pittstucky. Serves you right! Wearing a Phillthy shirt into Pens country! I know there are a lot of rivalries in the NHL, but I am not sure if there are any two teams who hate each other as much as the Pens and Flyers. Heard a soundbyte from Crosby this morning talking about how the Flyers bring out the worst in him, I would argue that perhaps it brings out the best in him... Hey, I'm a lone Philly fan in a sea of Pittsburgh in-laws. There's no love loss in terms of sports. I wear my colors with pride, especially when I visit Pittstucky. Although this trip wasn't aided by the Phillies dropping two out of three to the damn Pirates (most locals didn't even know the city still has a team - that is until they beat their hated cross-state rivals). Whether the Flyers win or lose, it won't be without a fight.

No idea about the screen - Like most hockey fans, I've never been to the Pru Center. I've never been around the outside during a game, but if they show the games on it I'm pretty sure it's only at playoff time. It's not like there's not plenty of room inside.

Are any places (like NBC) streaming games over their website? I have a US VPN this year so it would be nice to catch a few games if possible.

Check NBCSports.com regularly. They were pretty good about streaming the occasional regular season game, while they don't have any posted yet I bet they stream more than a couple.

A bit off topic, but the AHL's Norfolk Admirals have won 25 games in a row. Haven't lost since February 5.

Hooray, booked my flight to LA to catch Game 3 on Saturday night. First time in the last three years that I won't make the first two home playoff games, but I'm still grateful to catch at least one.

Looks like I will have to be streaming most of the Detroit games for as long as they are still in it. What is the CNBC station? Only channel like that I get is the news(?) station by NBC. No CBC either. Stupid fucking NBC with exclusivity. Just show it on FSD for fucks sake!

FYI - as far as I understand the new rules this season, the games that are not on the NBC mothership will -also- be streaming on local broadcasters, if you can stream them, just not on GameCenter Live. CNBC is the financial news station - look for a stock ticker during most of the day and you've found it if so (they use it as backup for sports or Olympics). CBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, probably not practical to get if you're not by the border.

Wow, I need to get some of whatever the oddsmakers were smoking when they laid those odds... Or when they came up with these... Daniel Sedin (VAN) 16/1 ... Henrik Sedin (VAN) 16/1 No player has stood out on the Canucks this season, so I doubt any will factor in much - its a new season thought so yah just never know. If any Canuck proves themself to be a candidate it'll probably be Schneider or Kesler. I asy Kesler because he snoozed most of the regular season, so he oughta be good and rested.

I hope Kesler goes beast mode like we know he's capable of.
Looks like Daniel is sitting tonights game out, hope they are just being cautious.
I've kissed my wife and kids goodbye in advance of tonights game(s). Pitt/Philly followed by my Nucks/Kings. Heaven. I have 4 beers on tap, and I'll be thirsty!

If there was a playoff only GCL, I would buy it... even if it was more per month than regular GCL. So annoyed at not being able to watch the games at home.

Sad that somebody finds the 1992 LA race riots humorous and worthy of mocking. The author complains about the punks rioting in Vancouver last June as being Anarchists -which they actually weren't- and not NAZIS. I'm guessing the author is just showing his own supremist true colors there. People were killed and wounded in the 65 Watts and 92 race riots, so I hardly see where there's any humor to be drawn from them.

I think this offsets the non off-sides call in the incredibly weird/awesome third Pittsburgh goal.

So happy to watch some playoff hockey. Best sports time of the year (for me). Yeah, and it's a decent feed. I'm impressed actually. The old VS station was always washed out and over saturated with whites. Made it hurt to watch the station most times. Also using the widescreen format properly which FSD doesn't do in my area with the weird letterboxed version.
