This is what I love about the NFL - in the last 15 years just about every crap team from my youth has at least made it to the Superbowl. It's crazy compared to other sports, but amazing. Teams like Tampa, Atlanta, Seattle, and now New Orleans have all had a chance to enjoy making it to the big game. I don't have anything against the Vikings, but today I really wanted to see the Saints go. They deserved it more.  |

As long time Saints fan, neither did I; my 11 yr old daughter told she only had to wait 11 yrs for the Saints to make it to the Super Bowl; while I had to wait 43; I don't care-they finally made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Go Colts.
As much as I was tired of hearing about Brett Favre over the last 10 months, I hate to see him go out like that. The Vikings dominated that game in every way except for some reason they couldn't manage to hold onto the ball. I also hate how the Vikings never even got a chance with the ball in OT.

I kept hoping that Favre would get one more play.
I'd think with that set up he'd come back, but you can tell he was feeling every hit during that game.
If they had just held onto the ball, they would have smacked the saints around.
Glad the Saints are in, but I do hope Favre comes back one more year...and says he will up front and without drama.
As for the SB, I can't see the Saints playing as poorly as they did this week, but I also dont' see them stopping Manning. It should be a really fun game. I'm going to have to give the edge to the colts though.

Living around Cincinnati is a constant test to see just how well you can put up with the abundance of incredibly stupid and unbelievably annoying football fans. The only time I can remember being worse was when "Shake and blake" was the big thing because people here were actually excited about Jeff Blake. Like I said, Bengals fans are roughly 90% idiots. I follow and root for the team, but hate myself just a little for being associated with that giant group of morons in even a small way. The who dat thing hasn't been around long enough to be truly annoying yet. Trust me. |

I grew up around Cleveland and was a big Browns fan...to qualify, the Browns of Jim Brown, Leroy Kelly and Paul Warfield....and also the heartbreak Browns.
that said I always liked the Bengals and once met Kenny Anderson in LaGuardia in a bar the summer after the Bengals were int he Super Bowl the first time. i didn't know it was him until he asked me what i did (I was in the Navy) and he said he had just finished shooting a Navy recruiting commercial.....then I asked him what he did thinking he was in television or something. After he told me i did recognize him. Great guy. Loved the Kenny Anderson Bengals

So who thinks Favre is going to retire or come back? I think he's going to want to come back after throwing an INT there on his last play. Early reports are saying he's said it's "highly unlikely" he'll come back for 2010. After the year he had though, I can't see why he wouldn't come back for one more shot.
