20 questions, experiment in AI

I don't take credit for finding this, I read about it in a thread on another forum I'm sure some of  you may be familiar with.  I didn't see anything on it here and thought some of you may like it.  It's a simple game of 20 questions, and I'll be damned if this thing isn't amazing.  It guessed correctly "airplane" in 18 questions and "joystick" in 17 questions.  Give it a go:

It lets you try and search for what you meant if you truly beat it and my thing wasn't even in there.   It only took me three tries to think of a stumper though.

Weird. It didn't say I contradicted anything, so I didn't lie on any of the answers. But since the supposed goal seems to be to stump the thing, I always chose the vaguest answer possible that was still the truth.

You know, at that point in the game there are still a million things that could have fit the description.  It doesn't even begin to make sense for it to guess that at that particular point.

That's pretty neat.  I think they need to work on the questions a bit though and tighten them up.  Besides being some repeats there's some that are a little too vague.

Overall pretty cool though.
