http://hundredpushups.com

I'm going to give it a shot.  When I came out of the military I could do 70 pushups in 60 seconds.  I sincerely doubt I can get anywhere near that now, but I'd like to see some drastic improvement in my overall upper body tone.  I think this'd be a good way to do it.

Who's with me?

I'd be in if I could... the last time I was doing regular pushups I discovered that I have bone cysts in my left wrist, so if I do them regularly I eventually end up in a brace for weeks at a time and unable to do shit.  I was up to about 50 when I figured that out.

Do I get a handicap if I try this on my knuckles?

I have always been terrible at push-ups, and weak in the upper body in general. This sounds like a good challenge. I'm in.

Sure, why the hell not. Haven't checked my max lately but I do 25 pushups every afternoon to wake myself up.

What the heck I will try it.  I was doing well with my weight loss then life really got me down and I completely fell off the wagon.  So today here I sit at a horrid 267 pounds.  For my initial test I managed 20 good consecutive push ups.

I could try it... thing is I work out 5 days a week so I'm sure after "chest and lower back" day I'll be screwed. disgust

I'll give it a try, see if my wrists hold up. Might be like Kratz and have to do knuckles though. See how it goes.

I'm in although I may have to take it slow.

Last time I did some push ups (with an exercise ball to elevate my feet) I put a rib out of alignment and screwed up my shoulder.  I have no idea how that happened, lol.  Went to the chiropractor and got the rib and shoulder fixed but I think I may still need to go back to work on the shoulders some more.

So we'll see how I do.

Here are your choices

1) You're a reanimated corpse and therefore must be burned with fire.

By "exercise ball" do you mean your own testicles and by "push ups" do you mean trying to give yourself head?  If so that could explain the rib and shoulder.....

I've changed my workout regime over the last few months to exclude weight-lifting altogether so I've actually been doing pushups for a few months now, I'm thinking for the initial test I could probably make it to 65-75. Regardless, week 6 looks hardcore.

Okay, I'm in.  I can crank out now about 40.  Then a week later when I get out of traction I should be able to start again.

What the heck, I will try it.

I believe I will give this a shot tonight. I've been doing pushups on a regular basis since Jan and can rip a good number out. I've been using push ups with handles and that makes 'em much tougher.

I will report back with results, gentlemen. Good luck!
