Yep, it's 7. I don't think Buffy ever explained why she's got the hots for Qan, I was hoping he'd be more forthcoming.

Quoted to get it to the top of the new page.

Qantaga (1): Soulchilde
rshetts2 (4): Lassr, Qantaga, Isgrimnur, newcastle
newcastle (4): ScubaV, rshetts2, Cragmyre, JayDee

no votes: CeeKay, rickfc, Bulletpig

I propose a gentlemanly guideline that whosoever generates a post that takes us to a new page provide us with an updated vote count post so we don't have to keep paging back and forth.

well, I'm use to a vote count with a statement that says "Majority is #" at the bottom so it's always handy and you don't have to go back and count the number of folks or search for the answer if someone forgets.

As compelling an argument as Lassr makes, I'm going to stick to my guns and vote for newcastle.

I said that if theo was a normal villager, newcastle would be next.

He better not be innocent. I would expect a villager to at least make an effort for us.

However, making an effort for the good of the village as a whole doesn't seem to be the mindset here at GT.

As the villagers brought down envy24 from the gallows and gave him a proper burial, one of them hung back, visibly more disturbed than the others.

As newcastle watched envy24 being buried, something suddenly snapped in him. He turned and ran.

"newcastle! Where you going?!" shouted Qantaga.

His question was soon answered as newcastle ran up onto the platform of the gallows, slipped his own head into the noose, and before anyone could do anything, jumped off the platform. His neck did not snap, so he was strangled to death.

newcastle lynched himself. 11 now remain, and it is now NIGHT. Specials - the drill, you know it.

The suicide vote is the equivalent of taking your ball and going home when you don't like the way things are going.

I will admit to suiciding once but at that point the village mathematically could not lose so I was just moving the game forward.

I wish Newcastle would have given me a chance to talk him off the ledge and convince the village not to push him over...

The villagers went inside their houses for the night earlier than usual the day prior due to the shocking suicide.

The next morning they assembled at the gallows to remove newcastle's body and prepare him for burial. However, as they were carrying the body to the outskirts of the village, they found Lassr's vivisected body over the town well hanging from the bucket.

Instead of a body being carried to the outskirts, there is now two.

Lassr has been mangled by a werewolf. 10 now remain, and 6 is the majority vote.

What do we know (think we know) now?

Innocent:

-JayDee
-Soulchilde
-Bulletpig

Possible Wolf/Vamp/Goth (3 baddies here):

-Cragmyre
-Qantaga
-CeeKay
-Isgrimnur
-rshetts2
-rickfc
-ScubaV

Of course, this is assuming all claimed roles are true. I suppose we're safe in that assumption since no one has challenged them yet.

We still know nothing about the Vamps (not active, activated last night, activated with a thwarted kill last night). The chances of them being active must be pretty high by now (two scans going each night - Vamp and remaining Goth). Hopefully, either theohall or newcastle was a Goth.

JayDee, what news do you have for us on your scan?

Seems silly if I were a wolf after Lassr to make no attempt to have him lynched.  On the other hand pegging me like you did Rickfc makes me very suspicious of you.  Especially considering that youve bascially lurked the entire game, adding nothing to us villagers information gathering.  When you do pop up its to back someone elses play.  That is a perfect wolf/vamp cover there.  Add in your earlier defense of Silky, now known to be a slain wolf and I think theres a very good chance that you are in fact the Alpha wolf.  I think its time we Lynch rickfc

Quite a bit to discuss here, in case I might have an appointment with a wooden stake:

1. I will say, as plainly as I possibly can, that I am an innocent villager. I am not a Vampire. I am not a Wolf. I am not a Goth. I am not a Special. I am just a villager. Of course, that is what any accused would say, but I need to try to convince Soulchilde of the truth of my innocence. I am an innocent villager. That is God's own truth.

2. Soulchilde has thought me to be a Vampire for a long time now. He first gave the reason that I was flying under the radar. I don't believe that to be true and, when Scoop disagreed, he changed his reason to say that I was being "quasi-helpful."  While I'm not sure exactly what that means, I don't believe that to be true, either. I've tried to be helpful, without any quasi to it, because the survival of the village means a win for me. I'll have to leave any additional reasons as to why he thinks I'm a Vamp to him.

3. You can rest assured that I am not a Wolf. I had the chance to cast my vote with either Moliere or theohall when they both had significant votes on them. I cast the n-1 vote on Moliere (who I actually thought was a Vamp at the time). If I were a Wolf, I would have voted on theohall instead (my Oponn's coin post) instead of giving up an infected partner.

4. Even though it may end up with me getting a stake through the heart, I do believe that Soul's stake ability is probably a very good idea. I truly hope he doesn't waste it on me, because I will only be revealed as a dead villager. However, here's why I think he needs to use it:

    - Soul claims to know that the Vamps are active. If so, then he was almost certainly their target last night. His one-time immunity would be why he's still alive. That would mean that he would die tonight, with his ability wasted.
    - If he stakes someone, he has a 3/7 (43%) chance of hitting a bad guy.
    - He could take out the Vampire or the Goth (even if unactivated) immediately.
    - However, it would even be great if he tried to hit the Alpha. It wouldn't kill the Alpha, but just the nature of the stake's failure would immediately reveal the last of the lycan clan for us.
    - Even if he kills an innocent with the stake, he will have reduced our pool of possible bad guys from 7 to 6, thus increasing our odds of lynching a bad guy today from 43% to 50%

Now, I know that making a case for using the stake is not in the best interests of my continued survival. Especially, since the stake is in Soulchilde's hand and he is most suspicious of me. However, I will try to appeal to Soulchilde that I am only an innocent villager and you will learn nothing by staking me. As a matter of fact, you can be virtually certain that I am not a wolf (see above), so the odds of me being bad are 2/7 (29%), whereas the odds of any other in the pool of 7 possible bad guys is 3/7 (43%). However, I will admit that even if you do stake me, you have left the village in a better position (eliminating an unknown) than if you die without using your stake. I hope you will stake someone else but, of course, I am certain of my innocence, while you are not.

5. Soul, you say that you know for sure that they are active because you are Buffy. I'm still not sure how you would know that for certain. Does ravenvii give you notice if you have successfully protected or had your immunity used up?

I will invite Soulchilde and all other innocent villagers to go back and scan through my posts. You will find that I am an innocent villager trying my best to uncover the evil among us.

Soulchilde, I do think you are wise to use your staking ability (just hopefully not wasted on me).

I will tell you as clearly as I can that I am an innocent villager in this game.

No, it wouldn't seem silly; it would be stupid.  Lassr was a proven innocent, and putting a vote on him would have just painted a larger target on your back.

What defense of Silky?  I never defended him.  The lynch train on him had stalled, and my vote started it back up...You may want to go back to your made up evidence vault and make more random accusations to cover your ass.

ah sorry  I didnt go back thru 33 pages of stuff and couldnt quite remember how you were hooked to the silky thing.  Yeah thats right, you did try to hide yourself in the middle of a lynch train and then later used it to protest your innocence.  Still there is nothing made up or random about your posting activity.  No matter how you dodge or spin it, you have been keeping a low profile and havent helped the village with info at all. Only now, after seeing a near train on me from yesterday, you try to throw me under the bus.  You can poke me safely and use yesterday as a defense.  Pretty much your M.O. the whole game,  keep a low profile, jump on someone after theyve been fingered and make noise only when you feel youre safe to do so.  That is text book evil cover.

While I completely agree with you that I haven't put forth too much effort to create threat matrices a la newcastle, I've been anything but lurking.  I've been actively participating and putting my $.02.

At any rate, I'm following up on Lassr's suspicions.  He was innocence was proved early in the game, yet he survived until he pointed his finger in your direction.  Highly suspicious if you ask me.
