lynch Qantaga  you've been flying just under the radar.  Which is a safe place to be

this is the post that perked up my suspicion. Souldchilde has always played under the radar when he is a villager, so this game he is not playing that way and pointing at someone who is.

Which is interesting because (as anyone is welcome to go back and check), I hardly see myself as flying under the radar this game. It seemed strange to me when Soul posted that (the post Lassr is referring to).

I haven't been shy at all about posting my thoughts this game. If anyone would know that, it should be Soulchilde because he and I have been of differing opinions at times in this game. As a matter of fact, I called Soulchilde on his "philosophy" against rezzing envy24 and he even responded about the meta viewpoint.

Then, Scoop calls Soul on saying I was flying under the radar and Soul backtracks to this:

Quote from: Soulchilde on September 30, 2010, 03:14:05 PM

Quote from: Scoop20906 on September 30, 2010, 02:55:53 PM

I don't agree he is flying under the radar. He has posted consistently, commented on other people's posts and provided good analysis. You might be right but I don't think he is playing it quiet at all.

I'm not saying he is quiet.  My concern is that he's being quasi-helpful.  His play at the moment seems eerily familiar

So, first I'm flying under the radar, then I'm quasi-helpful (what exactly is quasi-helpful anyway?). It strikes me that Soulchilde is just making up reasons to point at me, regardless of their merit, because I've been a bit of a thorn in his side.

My problem is that I've never been able to read Soulchilde. This is the third game I've played with him. In the first one, I was suspicous that he was a wolf, but he was innocent. The second time, I let him lull me to sleep while he feasted on the village.

I'll see what Soul thinks about this train building on him before I cast a vote.

I'm between classes so I have just enough time to catch up on the last couple of pages. It sounds like the village is going after a new candidate based on how he is playing versus how he has played in the past. Let's see if those perceptions are true.

I'm tempted to put the kill vote on Soul just to annoy Lassr, but out of respect for Qan who defended me I'll let Soul have his last words.

if he's the alpha it would be ideal to do before he gets back but if he's the undertaker then...oops. Yeah, he could be vampire/goth also but they have no special use now power.

Actually the vampire/goths do have a power.  They scan for their counterpart.  Also, the vampires are immune to one attack, so it could explain Scoop living the first night if he was attacked and Scraper protected someone else.

well...believe it or not, i think the change of behavior on soulchilde is more of a growing aspect of it...i think he's gotten frustrated at being knocked out early...cant recall, but my impression is that his participation and helpful comments are on the rise. i dont care to lynch him just yet...

Spoiler for Hiden:

So, Soulchilde is revealing himself as Buffy (Vampire Hunter).

We sure have a knack of outing our specials, don't we? frown

Let's assume that all of our claimed specials are exactly who they say they are, what does that give us?

Claimed:

-Scoop - Seer
-Bulletpig - Sorcerer (confirmed)
-Scraper - WW Hunter (most likely confirmed by his hint at special status and Scoop's scan). - DEAD
-Soulchilde - Buffy (V Hunter)

Unclaimed:

-Undertaker

Unknown:

-Cragmyre
-Moliere
-JayDee
-Qantaga
-CeeKay
-envy24
-Isgrimnur
-rshetts2
-rickfc
-theohall
-ScubaV
-newcastle

Maybe infected:

-Lassr - he could be infected, but is most likely not the Alpha, the Vamp, or a Goth.
(of course, any player could be infected or the infection may not have occurred yet).

Stating the obvious, I think we're at the point in the game where it would be highly beneficial (as newcastle mentioned earlier) for any true specials to dispute any of these claimed specials, if any of them are lying. Since only Scraper and Silky are dead, the odds are incredibly high that any true special would still be alive and could easily dispute any false claim here, meaning we could bag a wolf or the vamp right here and now.

Of our 12 unknowns (again assuming no one disputes the claimed specials), there are a minimum of 4 bad guys and maybe even an infected wolf (or even a future one).

What that buys us, I don't know, but hopefully we have narrowed down the field enough so that we can find 4 baddies out of a pool of 12.
