So dont think of it a failure if you come up with an innocent, it's just as good, especially if they survive.

It's actually good only if they survive.

It's kind of interesting that there are only 2 people that didn't have a vote in for Huw at some point during the day, rshett2 and Isgrimnur. Of course, Rshett2 has posted..what, once? They kind of pick themselves out from the crowd by not voting for Huw, but I don't think you can really make anything serious of it.

I try not to get involved in opening day trains on general principle.  They usually net an innocent without a lucky strike, and I don't like offing people at random.

And newcastle, I'm always paying attention.  Whoever is scanning is welcome to scan me and I can join their trusted voting block.  If they're looking for fur, they'll be disappointed.

Yes Im here.  Since my real life job has me working from 5:30 am til 2:30pm, most of my silence is due to work.  Since I didnt see anything too suspicious in Huw's behavior, I didnt see much of a reason to jump on the lynch train. I have indeed kinda laid low though because with this crowd it seems if someone pokes their head up theres somebody else with a big frikkin hammer ready to smack it back down.  Just ask Huw!

A ground fog lies across the village as the morning sun begins to peek its head over the eastern horizon. The buildings of the town look as if they are floating along in a lilting, grey-shrouded sea. The town square is eerily silent and the only evidence of life is the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the inn.

As the sunlight continues to chase the darkness westward, newcastle makes his way slowly from his home to the inn. As he is drawn toward the smell of the coffee, he finds JayDee in the kitchen, arms buried to the elbows in the sink, scrubbing out pots, pans, and dishes while the coffee percolates on the stove. Moments later, they are joined by Misguided, rubbing his eyes. They make small talk while newcastle and Misguided begin to cook breakfast.

Soon, Moliere wanders in. Without saying a word, he begins to lay out plates around the large dining table.

rshetts2 and Flatlander come in moments later. They pull up bar stools and look around the room with blank stares.

As JayDee begins to pour the coffee, and Misguided fills the plates with bacon and eggs, Isgrimnur comes in, followed closely by stessier.

There is very little conversation as they all dig half-heartedly into their breakfast. More is left on their plates than is consumed. No one seems to have much of an appetite this morning. They stiltingly begin to discuss their ill-fortuned lynching of Huw the Poo the day before.

Gradually, they begin to realize that two of their fellows are missing...

They begin to get up, one by one, and head toward the door. As they turn the corner, stessier runs headlong into Einsteinium. They both dust themselves off and mumble apologies.

The group moves as one toward a home near the base of the path leading up to the castle. They are somber now. No one is speaking. They enter the dwelling. It is deathly silent. stessier runs up the steps, bracing himself for what he's sure to find there. As he barrels into the bedroom, rickfc sits up, yawning, and says, "What's all the commotion?"

The voyagers shuffle out of rickfc's house and return to the village square. They look around and take count of each other. No one has been killed. They have all survived the night.

Nice job mr. hunter, you probably just put the game solidly in our favor.

11 people in the game...

COuple of scenarios to think about:
1. Priest has a scan +1 identified (2 people known)
2. HUnter knows + 1identified (2 people known, hunter has innocent in hand)

If the target of the priests & hunters actions are different, that means there are 4 people currently identified in the game. Leaving 6 people unknown (i think that's the right number). That's pretty good odds.

I would highly suggest that tomorrow the seer come out & hunter also. If you have 2 live scans, tomorrow come out. If you are sitting on 1 wolf today, think about it...there is a case for coming out today if you have that.

The hunter should come out with the seeer, the hunter can protect the seer 1 more night. So it's important that if you do come out tomorrow hunter, do not reveal who you protected tonight. In all likelihood the hunter will die that night, but the most important thing with that is your protection of last night will be proven and the seer will live another night.

Tomorrow, if both our specials are still alive we will have the following
1. Seer with 2 live scans
2. HUnter w/ 1 known person (innocent)

So tomorrow we could potentially have 5 knowns and 5 unknowns. Very good odds to win the game.

So my advice to the seer & hunter stay alive. I know easier said than done.

Anyway, lets kick this part off

math error alert!!! ok there are people left..i screwed up, sorry bout that.

If the scans survive also i should note....best case we could have....

Tomorrow day
8 people left
-seer +2 scans
-hunter +1 protect

Worse case...well we lynch the hunter today and they nail the seer.

Anyway, sorry bout that, still not amped on coffee enough yet.

Nice analysis Newcastle,  I especially noted all the "we" "they" stuff.  Seems like youre laying down the perfect cover.  Plus calling out the seer and hunter after the hunter bought an extra day,  I find that especially interesting.  While self defense is often seen as an admission of guilt, by calling out my name you sir are barking up the wrong tree.  Still what else should one expect from wolf but a nice conceal and divert post... nicely played Newcastle,  nicely played indeed.

I don't follow...the seer has 2 scans at this point?

tomorrow if the seer lives, he will have two scans

today our specials have 2 pieces of information...
1. Seer has 1 scan
2. HUnter has knowledge of 1 innocent (unless they self protected)

So today actually we can potentially know 4 "goods" v. 6 unknowns...the wrinkle here is 1. hunter self protected, and the seer scanned the hunter.....

Tomorrow (-1 for lynch, -1 for night kill) we will have 8 players left...best case scenario
seer - has 2 scans
hunter - alive w/ 1 known innocent.

So that would put it at a 5 known 3 unknown category....that's a win for the good.

This is the absolutely best case scenario...lots of things can screw it up, we lynch an innocent they know, they die as a night kill, an innocent is killed via the night kill that they know....

But the bottom line is we are in a good spot for today.

Moliere, I think we'd all like to hear from you.

The Hunter's success makes things interesting. Less so if they self-protected. The wolves now have a guaranteed kill for tonight if they go after the same person. The best we can hope for is that the innocents get lucky and nab a wolf tonight. Or the wolves, for whatever reason, choose a different target and the Hunter gets lucky again. I don't really have a lock on my prime wolf candidate yet. We'll see how the accusations and finger pointing develops during the day.

I think it would be handy if everyone did a threat matrix...just so folks have something to go off of, and see what folks think.

Things I think i think

potentially innocents -
RickFried Soul Chicken - Actually i think he's innocent
Misguided - right now leaning innocent just cruising along

Neutral - but not forgeting these buggers
Einstenium - having a gall bladder removed is not an excuse to not really participate...just kidding; no real opinion of him.
Stessier - interesting kettle of fish here, i could go either way with him; i want to believe he's an innocent, but he can be a clever wolf
Jaydee- he's around, poking people as well

Am interested in these folks - *points finger to his eyes, then to each of these cats*
Isgrinmur - is paying attention, and pops in to preserve his good name, find that interesting
flatlander- made a few interesting comments that piqued my attention, very responsive when mentioned
Molierre - guarded, here but guarded. Was poked by Jaydee, and he responded; funny thing with him as i was typing this, he was the last person who i thought of
Rshetts 2- very testy when poked, took a vote for him very personally, watcha guarding there?

I don't know....I think I'd have to put you in my "watching closely" group, along with JD and Rick. All three of you were instigators during day 1 and, interestingly, all voted for Huw at some point but none during the final tally.  Then again, maybe that just makes you the most savvy players, I don't know. Actually, scratch that, JD did vote for Huw. Honestly, though, vocal doesn't mean you're guilty, just that you're not afraid to draw attention to yourself, so that's all worthless.

As to your choices, I don't know why, but I trust Moliere for some reason. Rshetts reminds me of an ant nest.

It's interesting that one of the people you asked the seer to scan for you was Rick and now you think he's innocent. I suppose his reply to that post might have convinced you that was the case.

Hmmm,  didnt think I was being testy, just pointing out some suspicions while trying to preserve my good name but you may indeed try to spin it that way if you wish.  Its still real early to have any definitive suspects but there have been a few interesting things going down.

Newcastle has been very vocal and is stepping up to a leadership role here.  Did he call out 3 suspects for the seer to scan to guide him away from any wolf?  If he can get the seer to miss his first 3 scans theres a good chance he will be gone before he gets a 4th.  As far as a pack mate, as Misguided mentioned you were very suspicious of rickfc and suddenly you think hes a paragon of virtue,  point him out early and then convince everyone hes safe?  That concerns me.  The best way for a wolf to get us all is to herd us to our deaths,  and you sure seem to be herding us.

Moliere stepped up and pointed the finger of fate right out the gate and has been pretty quiet since.  That could be a good wolf ploy, get things rolling and get other people talking while you slip back into the shadows.

Isgrinmur scares me simply because fate can be very strange.   2 quick deaths in a row has bought him some sympathy breathing room,  thats a nice advantage for a wolf.  He also seems pretty savvy so while I think hes a voyager, he still scares me a bit.

Einstenium reminds me of a puppy,  jumps at a butterfly then jumps at a grasshopper and then hey whats that smell, ohh Im hungry... kinda all over the place.  Hes probably innocent and Im pretty sure its the pre operation drugs doin him in

Everyone else seems to be poking around and I have no real opinion as of yet but I do think Flatlander is one of the good guys and Misguided as well.

As far as me, Im an innocent and I hope to live long enough to see both wolves swing.  Big props to the hunter for helping bring that reality much closer!
