Scenario 1: ... If none of them were, we likely would have had two wolves kick this into a night cycle with a pile-on. Scenario 2: ..It may be that the wolves missed the opportunity, or they simply didn't want to be the last two to the party.
Purge, your logic is faulty and you've been playing these games long enough to know it. Why would wolves pile on a vote this early in the game? The wolves know that I will come back villager. They know that their piling on to "kick this into the night cycle" will draw attention. You know fully well that their best course of action is sit back and let the village do their dirty work. You are working very hard to stir up votes against me, while keeping your own vote off (for later deniability). That smells very wolfish to me. As for me, I've self-voted for a reason. As I said I'm an unpowered villager - killing me is better than a seer, but not better than a wolf. I think you know my feelings on the self-vote. Purge

wow scary my line of thinking nearly mirrored some of purges! i was actually going to post this as a daydream that came to me under the village apple tree but hell here goes. did we actually stumble on a wolf by accident? and while i still say hang qant (sorry ), keep an eye on jd. hey jd when you mentioned your two versions of what happened (either the wolves were scared to jump in on qant or one already had) why did it never occur to mention a THIRD option? that we already had a wolf about to be noosed up?

did we actually stumble on a wolf by accident? Ask yourself this; which is more likely: 1. That you stumbled upon a wolf by accident? -or- 2. That the wolves (or misguided villagers) are manipulating an early pile-on of votes (Purge, Moliere, Doopri) to make it appear that way?

oh gees now two close to the edge! seems like no momentum on qantaga and i did initially suspect purge but im not going to start tossing votes around. plus im drinking my own koolaid here in being surprised we arent already done with the first vote - i thought wed "rush" through that one on some poor soul and see where the wolves go from there.
qantaga you had three quick votes right off the bat, largely before there was any conversation and then... nothing... which is why im thinking it might be likely we found one early. and even if not - well its gotta be someone!

i did initially suspect purge but im not going to start tossing votes around. So, you are/were suspicious of purge, but you won't vote for him. However, when it comes to me: - jump in with the blood thirsty majority here in being surprised we arent already done with the first vote - i thought wed "rush" through that one on some poor soul and see where the wolves go from there. and even if not - well its gotta be someone!
Your reasons for voting for me is that you were joining a bloodthirsty mob, in addition to wanting to "rush" through the day (in contradiction to actually, you know, trying to find a wolf), and that it's got to be someone? I hope you're a wolf, because your current reasoning isn't helping the village.

The first day is always tough, so I was just trying to see what happened with the votes, not sure if Purge is a wolf, or not, though he does claim to not be the seer, and I think saving the seer is important. For that I'll withdraw Soulchilde and vote for Purge

There was much finger-pointing.
There was two persons who received the most fingers, however. They are Qantaga and Purge.
Unfortunately for Purge, more and more fingers pointed at him, until the majority of the villagers are looking at him, their eyes screaming "werewolf."
On to the gallows Purge went, the villagers clamoring for blood.
Bulletpig tightened the noose around Purge's neck.
"Any last words?" asked Moliere.
"Y--" was all Purge could blurt out before Bulletpig pulled the lever with a grunt.
Down went Purge. He died with a snap.
"... werewolves are supposed to turn when they die, right?" asked Doopri, a newcomer to those types of lynchings.
"Yes," said several villagers in unison.
"Then why didn't he turn?" asked Doopri.
"Because he's not a werewolf, that's why," said a disappointed Bulletpig. Not remorseful, just disappointed.

As the villagers looked at the swinging body of Purge, Moliere's head suddenly exploded.
There are no witnesses - everyone was looking at Purge - and no one could figure out how the hell this happened.
Fingers went up, pointing at everyone and everything (there was even a finger pointed at the ground - "it must be the grass!" declared the finger's owner, theohall, who was slightly unhinged from finding DarkEl's body).
"Whoa, it's not even night yet! One lynching is enough for one day!" declared Bulletpig from atop the gallows. There was shattered murmurings of "yeah" and "true" as the villagers slowly returned to their homes.
The next day, the villagers came out of their homes, their fingers pointing. Even the grass continued to have a finger pointed at it.

Moliere has been killed by WWs. It is now DAY TWO. 7 villagers remain, and 4 is the majority.

So, what do we have now: Soulchilde Purge - HUNG, VILLAGERMoliere - MURDERED BY WWSBulletpig JayDee theohall Qantaga Cragmyre doopri Two wolves in the group {Soulchilde, Bulletpig, JayDee, theohall, Qantaga, Cragmyre, doopri} Reading back through the thread this morning, it looks like doopri may found one of the wolves for us: and while i still say hang qant (sorry ), keep an eye on jd. hey jd when you mentioned your two versions of what happened (either the wolves were scared to jump in on qant or one already had) why did it never occur to mention a THIRD option? that we already had a wolf about to be noosed up? Let's look at what JayDee said: That's three for Qantaga....Has a wolf already joined the chain trying to start a pile on? Or are they sitting back and letting things play out?
It sure sounds like JayDee *knows* that I'm good. On a game beginning in the day cycle, only the wolves would know something like that. JayDee

wow after little movement at all on qant, purge went VERY fast. i still REALLY thing qant is a wolf. and now trying to appease me by offering jd perhaps?
that said it kiiiiinda worked... in that for the moment my eyes are now turned on theohall. he offered a token initial vote, then quickly jumped on purge when the tides changed. and now here he is early on jd.
also both qant and theo mentioned something being "not good for the village" - a cue from the wolf talking points memo?

Odds of hitting a wolf at random on day 1 in this game is 1 in 9. So I found it interesting that you had three votes so fast. My thought is that there was a wolf hiding in that pile-on. But what if that is what they wanted us to think? Honestly I didn't even give much thought that you were a wolf because it was unlikely (or as equally likely as it being anyone else). No one else has any extra info but the wolves at that point in the game. So I thought the pile-on suspicious.

My current theory is that Qantaga and doopri are working together. They both brought up the same theory against me, yet Qantaga has publicly chided doopri on his logic. They have this back and forth banter that seems too convenient. I think we may be being played. I realize a revenge vote against Qantaga looks bad for me here, so I'm just going to leave that theory here and observe a bit more.

Fair enough. And I'm going to hold you to that as I'll match any vote you lay down for Qantaga during this round of voting. Knowing that, I'm curious if I'll ever see that vote from you now.

qantaga
i reeeeeallly hope im right as if not i possibly hurt us badly. knowing a bit of game theory the best way to win is collusion, and i hope im colluding with a villager and not a wolf! i think if qant isnt a wolf, either myself, theo or jd should be next - but heres hoping we dont have that problem! and if jd isnt a wolf... woo nelly are we screwed!
*edit because i dont know if were required to add "withdraw theohall to make it official

Wrong person to ally with doopri. I was hoping to hide a little longer and generate more discussion to uncover JayDee's partner. However, I'm about to board a plane and will be offline for a couple hours and I can't afford a quick lynch that would leave me unable to speak. JayDee is a wolf. 100% guaranteed.

haha, well played! Claiming seer means that it's impossible for people to vote for you for fear of taking out the seer and buys you at least one more round if you are indeed a wolf. I'm definitely out of my depth here to the OO vets.

So, withdraw Qantaga.
