We get President's Day off this year, but we hadn't in the past and my wife doesn't get it off. Seems around 50/50 depending on who I ask.

I plan on celebrating by playing some of Lincoln and Washington's favorite video games.

I wish. No President's day or MLK day.

My company turned this holiday into a 'floater holiday,' which translates to 'this is not a holiday.'

Technically off, but I'll be working most of the day anyways.

Working for the DoD gets me all Federal holidays off... no matter how far behind our projects are.  icon_wink

I'm off only because I'm on vacation. Otherwise, no, not a holiday. Too many idiots out there who wait until they're completely out of their life-extending medication before they wander into my pharmacy to get more.

First company I've worked for that gives us this day off and they're a Canadian company.  They also have today off, but that's not why they gave it to us off.

I don't get days off or vacations or any of that good stuff; I take them when I feel that I can afford to. I'll probably put in 2-3 hours today. I have to go to a wake this afternoon, and of course there's my nap.

Of course!

I started taking an hour-long afternoon nap when I turned 55, and now my body craves it. It's a benefit (or curse, depending on how you look at it) of working at home.

My company decided to do MLK and President's day this year, but it's mostly just coincidence.  Because Christmas/New Year's are on a Wednesday (I think), they removed both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.  I guess this leaves it to the individual to decide whether and how to bridge the weekends.

I am, but I'm not.  It's a bank holiday, but build days are Wednesdays, and the defect call is at like 10 am tomorrow, so I'm going to put in just enough time to resolve the two defects on my plate and go back to slacking off.

I'm off. Starting Ico on PS3 (never played on PS2) and restarting Game of Thrones books. (I read 1-3 years ago but never read the new ones. Now I want to but need to know what's going on)
