If it is, the world has been done a favor.

I didnt mind the episodes when they actually did stunts but they then got stuck on just eating nasty stuff. Guess it was cheaper, safer and got more ratings that way.

The nasty stuff is always the 2nd stunt. The 1st and 3rd are almost always physical stunts still.

I used to watch this show when it first came out... when they had normal contestants.  The past couple of years it seems like the had only the "pretty" people.  If I wanted to see them, I'd flip the channel to mtv.  Which I'm surprised doesnt show Fear Factor anyway.  How many channels is it on these days???  Seems like during the day I can find 5 or 6 channels that are either showing poker or Fear Factor.  DOMINATION.

Yeah, I haven't liked the switch to 'perfect' people much neither.

Only good thing about it, was i'd have the 'less perfect' contestants to root for.

Did that make sense?    :?

"Fear Factor: Live" at Universal Studios was a pretty decent show.  Using park guests as contestants makes it more like the old episodes.

Didnt they just change it to 'Boob Factor'?  or something like that?  or was that a couple seasons ago when it kinda got dumb?

Sorry.  hate the show.

Yeah, pretty much.  Every show they'll have a "water" based challenge, and without fail they'll do the half-speed woman-removing-shirt shot for each female contestant.  It would be mildly funny if they weren't so obvious about it.

That's the reason I watch the show.

While I admit that all the women seem to have fake boobs makes the show easier to watch the problem I have with the show is the last stunt for money is always a stunt where fear isn't really a factor its whoever can get lucky enough to get the right key first to start the car etc..

I do enjoy watching the musclebound mouthy punks lose it on the last stunt though.  They almost never win. smile

I think you can only watch so many people eat pig ass and bloody bull sack before the shock value starts to wear off and the show becomes much less interesting.  Hence, the timely arrival of cleavage, slow-mo boob motion, and the dreaded talent pool of "reality show actors."  Yuck.

On the other hand, CSI continues to do the impossible and make their show more shockingly disgusting with each episode.

One of the guys on local radio was interviewing the winners of the first "Couples Fear Factor" they did.  He was talking about the stunt layout and that the second stunt is always eating something putrid or being covered in something scary.  "And whenever I see that it's lying down in a vat of scorpions, or sticking your hand in an alligator's mouth I think, 'You lucky bastards!'"

I would rather see real ones too, but unfotunately this seems to be the modern mindset of most stuff on tv.
