How do you guys feel about this new "turn a movie into a TV series that's just telling the movie's story over again" trend with this and the Coen brother's Fargo?
I can understand taking movie characters and telling a story that continues (going back to M*A*S*H, or even The Courtship of Eddie's Father). And I can understand when a book's made into a movie and a network wants to go back to the source material for a different take in TV form (a la The Shining).
I saw Fargo when it opened in 1996 and quite liked it although I had no idea what to expect when friends dragged me to see it then. I just don't see how it lends itself to a TV series.
But I'm stupid. I'd rather just see Captain America deflect a 20 mm rotary cannon's bullets off with his shield.
I like Zoe Saldana so I guess any reason to see her more often is good, right?
