Jack the Ripper Case Solved with DNA Evidence

Of course, it didn't take long for the Ripperologists to start crying Bunk!

If they're really using undiscovered evidence, then this is still a good theory:Bullsit or Not - Jack the Ripper

Hasn't this case been "solved" hundreds of times already? I'm skeptical.

Yeah, I thought there was even a thread here like a year ago about something similar.

There's a definite cause to be skeptical, but this is using science, man!

I guess there's a scarf that was found next to Catherine Eddowes that has been carefully handled and documented over time.  Something something DNA.

The sites calling BS have all mentioned the same things.  It's a pretty lengthy amount of time for that scarf.  Why did these scientists choose the Mirror instead of a scientific journal?  The Mirror is not known for careful handling of scientific "fact".  Why are these scientists publishing a book (this Tuesday at your local bookseller!) instead of following proper scientific channels?

But all of those things can be explained/justified.  If Kosminsky's DNA is on this supposedly random scarf after so much time, that's a little too strong a coincidence.  And for the rest, the answer is simple: this is the best route to actually making a good amount of money.  Wanting to make money does not necessarily mean it's not true, so it's still a possibility.

But, yeah, be skeptical.

I hope they bring this man to justice by digging up his corpse and hanging it.  There's no statute of limitations on murder.  #JusticeForRipperVictims

Jack's been caught lots of times.  It's those darn investigators hemming him in those first couple nights.

You know what they say: "If you don't catch the killer in the first 24 hours, well...you know...give it another 125 years or so."
