Buffy returns to prime time TV tomorrow playing good and evil twins in the present and in flashbacks. Kind of an odd premise but it seems like the buzz is OK thus far. Also has Nestor Carbonell (Richard from Lost) and the guy who played Mr Fantastic (yawn). Sarah Michelle Gellar is calling it "Buffy meets Cruel Intentions" but I don't really see any connection.
Either way I'm in for at least a few weeks. Anyone else?

I kind of don't get the enthusiasm for this. Everyone seems to go on about "Buffy returns to TV" but at the end of the day, it wasn't SMG that had me tuning into Buffy each week. Not that she was bad or anything, but it was more about the writing.

I think I have my DVR set to record this, but with limited time to watch shows this fall it's going to have to be really impressive for me to follow it.

I'm mildly intrigued but it will have to impress me reasonably quickly (or, I suppose, others shows will have to disappoint me quickly) for me to keep watching. Not quite sure what to make of the promos.
I agree that the "OMG SMG" sentiment is a bit of a stretch - the plot and patter made Buffy, not the acting - but the girl does deserve some credit for headlining one the best. shows. ever. for seven years, so I'll give her a few weeks benefit of the doubt.

I saw an article that graded all the new shows and unfortunately they pretty much said this one sucks. What people want is Whedon, not SMG. It's not like people ran out to see Scooby Doo because she was in it.

The synopsis of the show says she plays one of the sisters, Siobhan, yet the commercials I've seen pronounce it as Chivon (Shivan? Chiffon?). Weird.

I enjoyed the pilot. The premise is great, I like the cast, and the various mysteries have me intrigued. I'll definitely be watching next week.

Me too, I was surprised I liked it as much as I did, even though I am an SMG fan. I can see how it's not for everyone for sure.

This show continues to be very interesting. Each time you think the writers have written themselves into a hole, they find some way to dig themselves out and create a whole new load of problems. I'm constantly wondering how they can sustain plotlines, but they keep doing it. Some of the "twists" are a bit cheap, but for the most part they do a good job of keeping you guessing and swinging you back and forth.

While the ratings haven't been the best, it did get picked up for the full season. I'm still enjoying it, too, as long as they keep the el-cheapo split screen effects to a minimum
