What does "predominantly use" mean though. I am here all the time I just may not post all the time.
See Section 7, paragraph 3, part IIa of the T&C's:

"Predominant use is defined as 65.3% of your browsing/reading/posting time, not to include page loading or idle time with the forum loaded in a background tab/window of the browser."

damn tenth of percentage points, I think I am at 65.1%

It really is kind of mean the way GT keeps OO refugees from creating new threads on different topics. Instead we're forced to cram all topics into this one OO designated thread.

Really. The soccer thread going last time OO was down was quite fun. Even if people are here temporarily, start threads.

I could start one wishing you a happy birthday, but I'll just do it here. Happy birthday!

Really?   When was that ever stated?   I thought most of the refugee just posted to this thread cause this is where the OO server status is usually posted.

Section 7, paragraph 3, part II of the Terms and Conditions for using the GT forums.

"No forum member who predominantly uses Octopus Overlords (henceforth known as OO) shall create a new thread in the GamingTrend (henceforth known as GT) forum. All topics from OO users must be held within the "OO off line for a short time" thread. Violation of this rule is terms for banishment from GT."

You need to man up all over yourself, and go break some rules.

It's up, and I haven't noticed any downtime on it.

For some reason when I use wifi on my phone I can't access it but when I turn off wifi and use the mobile data I can (not in this case, but normally). Any idea why that would be?

Different routes to the server, probably.

Perhaps you end up with different DNS settings? Try to resolve the IP from both connections and see what it spits out.

Given that WiFi is using your local network config and your data plan is using your carrier, it stands to reason that there may be an issue that's close to home. If you start up a new thread in h/w s/w hell I'd be happy to help.

Seems like I can't access OO from work

Chrome is giving me this

Google Chrome's connection attempt to www.octopusoverlords.com was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.

My phone can connect to the site.  weird

Is it possible your company has implemented internet filtering? Websense or the like perhaps?

I'm back to not being able to access OO through my home wifi again. Mobile data works though. I'll have to do something about that.

Might as well bump this one while I'm posting with nothing meaningful to say.
