details.  I imagine the Agent Carter one mentioned before will be one, but what will the other three be?  and the miniseries?

[edit] nuked the TV tag since it's Netflix & added in show names.

I will watch anything they throw my way,but S.H.I.E.L.D i am still very unsure about,i think one of the main reasons i am still watching that is because its Marvel

I personally hope NETFLIX picks them up and not Amazon,Amazon(Lovefilm here in the UK)has all the Anime Marvel, and i really want to watch all that...but i love my Netflix and can't be doing with subscribing to Lovefilm as well(maybe I'll just pay for the month it takes to watch it all)

I think Punisher could be a good TV series, seen as though i heard recently they weren't sure what to do with that since they got the rights back,it could be like the Equalizer from the 80s,but ...better and more violent,as Punisher has never aimed for a Kid friendly audience

DareDevil as well i suppose,I guess whatever license i speculate about it all depends on how they can unshackle the story from the movie versions/2hr time frame, and give the TV versions more freedom

Good times ahead though for Comic Book fans(DC and Marvel)

The suit is based off one of the early costumes he used in the comic timeline. So yeah, he'll probably upgrade at some point.

I have lots of old DD comics and graphic novels, always loved the Miller-Mazuchelli stuff in particular.

This web page has a useful look at DD's costumes over the years:
http://www.manwithoutfear.com/daredevil-costumes-and-alternate-versions.shtml

I suspect the studio won't be comfortable with a direct costume translation from the comics. Just hope it beats the weird brown-ish (didn't quite look red to me) leather Bennifer wore in the DD movie.  icon_razz But hey we get to watch all the episodes on opening day, so it'll be tempting to fast forward. Bring your own!

All episodes finally launch tomorrow (April 10). Although I've read a lot of good reviews/impressions, Marvel only made the first five episodes of the 13-episode season available for review. All episodes are supposed to be available for view at launch tomorrow.  icon_cool

A promo video suggests an eventual transition to
Spoiler for Hiden:
a red costume which seems to be (to my old eyes anyway)... red leather with some mesh breast-plate and shoulder pad straps of some sort.

So don't expect a shiny, smooth spandex outfit.  icon_smile Seems more of a "segmented" costume, for better or worse.
Belatedly thought maybe someone might find this spoiler-ish but I wanted to know.  icon_smile

I fell asleep early and got up too early this morning, so I caught the first couple episodes on my iPad this morning. I give it a thumbs up -- just the characters clicked with me right away, and the casting seemed to fit the gritty vibe and the comics well, rather than the "pretty boy/girl" casting of Agents of SHIELD.

While Drew Goddard left after the first two episodes to tackle a Sinister Six movie for Sony instead, he wrote the first two episodes and gets a "created by" credit. Maybe akin to Frank Darabont on The Walking Dead. Goddard seemed to really set things up well.  icon_cool

While it's dark and grim, there's humor and some light here and there, as per the comic. Most of the episodes appear to be in the 51-53 minute category length-wise.

Guess I can't say much else without veering into spoilers -- I'm eager to get home and binge on the rest.  icon_smile

I've never really been into Daredevil, I've never read the comics and didn't care for the older movie and such, but I figure I'll give this a shot at least.  Most of the stuff Netflix does is pretty good, and Marvel has also mostly done good the last several years, so it deserves a chance.

This takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right? That incident they mention in the beginning was the attack in Avengers right?

Nice to see this darker story also tie in, showing more of the fallout from those events. Just from that aspect I like the place this has in the setting, dark and gritty, showing the effects on normal people and smaller conflicts than what the movies cover.

This kind of makes me want movies of this kind of stuff, and I realize that the only way this stuff exists now is because of streaming media companies with a lot of leftover cash, but are also losing all their content. So despite all the decentralization of content, stuff like this is a benefit of that.

Watched episode 1 though 7 early this morning and so far loving it. The Netflix model works well for street level marvel heroes since the budget doesn't have to be on a blockbuster type level.  Can't wait for Iron Fist!

I binged through the whole season by Saturday afternoon. thumbsup

I was surprised by one two storyline developments. And the violence in a couple places left me a bit agog. Not in a controversial way (this is an MA rated show), just in a "did they really just do that?" way.

I certainly hope they get to do more DD seasons and look forward to his role in The Defenders at some point.

As far as the costume...
Spoiler for Hiden:
I like it -- both its practical advantages and its look; and we get to see some cool billy club stuff -- but you don't get to see it til the last episode. At least that means DD gets to wear it for The Defenders.

Seriously, yeah!  I watched the first 2 as well yesterday.  Very well done thus far.  I was surprised to see Jessica (from True Blood) in the show - I feel like she adds a critical element to balance the show out.  I also like that the clearly mark the show in the present Marvel movies universe, with just enough references to make sure you are aware, but without the clutter that can burden a comic book show once you start introducing super powers.

First Look at David Tennant and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) in Marvel's aka Jessica Jones

Sounds like they'll do more "cross pollination" in the Netflix shows going forward, which they couldn't do on DD because the other shows hadn't been cast yet.

You have Netflix, I feel very confident of this.  If not, you know someone who does.  Here’s what’s going on with Daredevil.  I don’t really have to say much, and after I say it, I’m just going to step back.  Daredevil is a comic show that you can watch without feeling like an asshole.

I wish we could talk about the show more without every single word in spoiler codes. Has anyone else watched the whole season yet?  icon_smile

My brother was texting me about it and asked me if I was grossed out by some particularly violent scene, which made me think he'd watched the whole season. Which he hadn't.  icon_neutral  Now I guess I have to learn how to put spoiler codes in texting -- is that even possible?  icon_razz

Excited DD has gotten a 2nd season order from Netflix  icon_smile

Disappointed that Daredevil's showrunner Steve S. DeKnight won't be returning (he stepped in for Drew Goddard after two episodes), though his successors appear to include at least one fellow Joss Whedon protege at least, and they worked on DD scripts:

DAREDEVIL Renewed for Season 2 with New Showrunners
http://collider.com/daredevil-season-2-renewed-will-return-in-2016/
Quote
In a turn of events that’s both surprising and not entirely unexpected, Netflix has renewed Marvel’s Daredevil for a second season, with the show returning in 2016. When Marvel TV first announced its plans to expand into the world of Netflix, the idea was that four individual shows—Daredevil, A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist—would each air in succession before a team-up Defenders miniseries. With Daredevil now coming back next year, it appears the plan has been altered.

But when Daredevil Season 2 debuts, there’ll be a few changes. Spartacus alum Steven S. DeKnight stepped in to take over the series when creator Drew Goddard left to work on his Sinister Six movie at Sony, but Netflix says DeKnight will not be back as showrunner for the second season. Instead, Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy, Da Vinci’s Demons) will be acting as the new showrunners, with Netflix stressing that the two “worked closely” with DeKnight throughout the first season. Petrie wrote the Season 1 episodes “Stick”, “The Ones We Leave Behind”, and “The Path of Righteousness”, and Ramirez wrote “Rabbit in a Snowstorm” and “Condemned”.
I won't panic about it. Just look through The Walking Dead's rotating set of showrunners to see how common it is for that change to occur.

I suspect to some extent it's a timing thing. Netflix still has four more Marvel series to film and broadcast (including The Defenders team-up) before DD's 2nd season and probably DeKnight couldn't commit to something that far into the future if he has other work lined up. I also don't know what Netflix pays vs. other broadcast networks, could be a factor too.
