La-bibbida-bibba-do!

Quote
Weeks after news of the project leaked, the network on Friday handed out a hefty pilot-production commitment and will film a pilot for How I Met Your Dad, a comedy from Mother co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and Up All Night creator Emily Spivey. The trio will pen the script and executive produce.

The project, which like How I Met Your Mother hails from 20th Century Fox Television, is in the spirit of the flagship series and will tell the story from a female point of view. It's described as a brand-new story with new characters and a new voice at its center.

I kind of trailed off on watching HIMYM in the last couple seasons.  It seemed like new episodes were only coming out randomly or something.

And the baffling trend of creating spinoffs of shows with middling ratings continues.

other than The Voice it and the Blacklist seem to be the only Monday shows getting 3.0 or above in the important demographic, so I can see why they're hoping to bring the fans over.  of course, the argument against this is Joey.

I fell out with it as well, but I do think about catching up once TWD's first half is done.

I've mentioned this before, but HIMYM was a fantastic show up to the writers strike. Then something happened and the show has been mediocre since. I was hoping they would end it last season, but no luck. Wish they weren't making this second show because I'm going to feel like watching it.
