starts tonight on Showtime, and it's about a CIA analyst trying to prove that someone who spent 8 years in captivity has been brainwashed to become a sleep agent. it's been getting good reviews, plus fans of Morena Baccarin should find it very titillating.

The reviews are phenomenal and I like Claire Danes as well, so definitely planning to check this out.

Haven't seen it yet, but it's good to hear Baccarin getting a solid role on a show.
Now all that's left to check off is Jewel Staite, which sadly the last I heard she was doing bad scifi movies still.

Finally decided to give this a shot and glad I did, really excellent performances and loving the cast. Morena seems a little young to have a kid that age but whatever. It also seemed a bit awkward that redhead guy just seemed to assume she'd be waiting for him after 8 years, I would have liked a line or 2 addressing that. Pretty incredible how good she is in this after watching the campiness of V. Claire Danes is fantastic, hard to believe she was that whiny brat in My So Called Life.

I really liked last night's scene with the main guy and Claire. Was it my imagination or do they just spark on screen together? He seemed like a completely different actor when he was with her, I don't know if it's intended (are they going to become romantically attached eventually?) or just one of those things when 2 really good actors step it up when they are put in a scene together.

I finally picked up Season 1 on DVD at Target (their version includes an extra disc with a lengthy Q&A panel session at an "Evening With Homeland" at Academy of Television Arts & Sciences). Set includes something called "Exclusive Extended Storyline."
I got a 2nd set for my brother's Xmas presents.
Showtime now has a Roku channel where you can at least watch the first episode of their shows this season, so I finally got to see the Season 2 premiere there. Even if you only know the basics of the show, it was still easy to pick up and appreciate.
