It is just a teaser so I guess I won't be too disappointed but it certainly didn't grab me.

I almost fell asleep waiting for something to happen.

I do like most of the cast though, so at least that's a plus.  Of course you're never gonna beat Chris Evans as Johnny Storm but whatever, I guess he's moved on  Tongue

I wish they would just stop trying to make Fantastic Four cool and relevant. Even as a kid I remember thinking they were the lamest superhero team. I also don't like how young they made all of them. It's about as convincing as your dad telling you how "totes adorbs" Taylor Swift is.

As someone who doesn’t understand the appeal of the Fantastic 4, I thought that generically ok.  That should probably mean that anyone who cares about the Fantastic 4 will hate the trailer…

Yeah, for whatever reason I've never bought them as "cool".

I really don't like that Miles Teller kid.  For whatever reason he really grates on me.  Kind of like a young Shia Labeouf.

I guess overall impression is: "Meh.  Is this the one where Marvel over-extends themselves?"

Don't forget that it's not Marvel Studios that makes the Fantastic Four movies. Fox still has the F4 rights, so they'll be the ones to blame if we get yet another lame F4 movie. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Fox is ever going to let the rights revert back to more capable hands.

And yet Fox has made decent X-Men movies.

I'm very sure that this is just a movie made to fulfill a contractual obligation for Fox to make a F4 movie, or else the license goes back to Marvel.

Also, just having the Marvel logo helps make it more appealing now that the Marvel name is known to a much wider audience. So, Fox is capitalizing off that.

It's going to be bad, I mean really, really bad. They're just throwing a bit of money at it and pooping it out to hold on to that license, especially now that Marvel licenses are worth a lot.

I was a big Fantastic 4 fan as a kid so the first 2 movies where huge letdowns for me. While I don't have high hopes for this reboot, it will have a hard time being as bad as the Rise of the Silver Surfer. That movie was just awful.

If they want to make this movie great they really need to nail Dr Doom. Take a look at Loki, they nailed that character and every scene he is in is better because of it. If they can somehow find a way to make Dr. Doom as interested as he should be then this movie has a chance. But heck I don't even know if this movie has Doom in it.

Their depiction of Galactus may have been a travesty, but I thought they gave us a pretty decent Silver Surfer.  But yeah, storm cloud Galactus ensured that the film made it onto my list of most hated superhero films.

And I think Loki works so well in the movies is mostly because Hiddleston is just a fantastic actor who gave it his all.  If they get a great actor and they avoid "modernizing" the character and doing things like adding constant references to social media (God, I hate it when they do crap like that in an attempt to connect with youth), I can see it working.

But I have no faith that Sony can pull this off.  They've already shown that they have no interest in creating good stories to support their superhero films.  At least not since Spiderman 2 (the Raimi years, not that god awful reboot crap).
