Fish - this was the biggest disappointment of the entire show.  I had doubts about Jada to begin with, but she started off with a really strong performance.  But then they just took the character all over the place and most of the time it felt like she was in another show.  Then suddenly she's back in Gotham going wild and after all that she gets put down by the Penguin?  Ummmm, no.  I suspect she wasn't happy with the show or something and decided to leave, and after that the writers just threw her off the cliff - literally.

She landed in water.  If television has taught me anything, it's that if you land in water, no matter the height you're dropped from, you will live.
'
Plus, I think she's on the show purely to spite the legions of viewers who find her friggin' annoying as hell.  I have a feeling the writers are just sadistic pricks in that regard.

She announced she's not coming back next season, but certainly I agree she isn't dead if she wanted to come back.  Either way, I still never saw the point of her character.  They specially created someone outside the Gotham universe, and then had her almost never interact with half of the stars of the show.  Then they wrote her into a weird side plot, brought her back and then wrote her off.  It's almost like she was filler for the show.

Oh, she's confirmed she's not returning?  Happy dance time.  I could've done without her and the ridiculous overacting after the first 3 minutes of her initial appearance.
