Wasn't that back when Syfy was known as Sci fi and didn't show wrestling,  and before the History Channel turned into the Lumberjacks and Pawnshops channel.

I kept seeing this promo for the upcoming (4th) season:

http://www.mtv.com/shows/teen_wolf/is-this-real-promo/989374/video/#id=1717643

...and finally decided to give it a chance over the break.  Close to 30 episodes in now, I am really glad I did.  When I first heard about it I assumed it was just a bad joke, but it's actually very enjoyable.  I think any fans of the older Buffy (seasons 1-3 in particular) will likely enjoy the show.  It's got a fun (and good looking) cast, a great sense of humor, horror elements, teen romance, action/combat, cheesy effects and nicely paced plotting with season-long story arcs.  I'm in the middle of the third season, and they've done a great job of keeping the show well-contained.  By that, I mean unlike Vampire Diaries and even Buffy/Angel to some extent, they stay well focused on the core supernatural element of werewolves/shapeshifting (plus the hunters of those types) in a high school environment.  No vampires, witches, ghosts, dopplegangers, etc - yet.  I suspect the temptation will be to segue into other things but it really reminds me of the feel I had watching early Buffy seasons.  Big thumbs up.   thumbsup

I loved this series, but SKY dropped it after the second series even though it was announced the third series would have a full 24 episodes instead of the usual 12 with it doing so well

Yeah I'm not really sure what the distinction is.  They had a long break after 12 episodes and are coming back for another 12 in January, which I've seen listed as the second part of season 3.  Why not just call it season 4 lol?  Seasons 1 and 2 were both 12 episodes as well.

Coincidentally was just reading Entertainment Weekly, they had Teen Wolf listed as #4 in their "Must Watch" list and suggested a winter binge watch.   Tongue

Still pimpin!

I noticed Amazon Prime just put the first 3 seasons of Teen Wolf up.  Picture quality is fantastic.  Really annoying to me they won't release a Blu-Ray version, but this is the next best thing.

Current season is nearing the end, but it has just been fantastic.  If you're a fan of these types of supernatural shows and/or shows with good looking young casts, you should check it out.  Most of you know how much I revere Buffy, and I honestly put this show on the same level/scale, especially the way they deal with the core friendships.

Now that I've been re-watching the first season, I do have to say it's definitely a bit raw (over-acting, etc), but the same can be said about Buffy Season 1 too.  Part of the fun is watching how the show/cast grows and evolves.
