It's been about 3 or 4 years since I picked up a pencil and actually drew anything.  I've wanted to for some time now but I've just been so busy with work, kids, etc. and every time I sat down with pencil and paper and the urge I just didn't know what to draw.

Well, the other day I sat down again, determined to actually end up with more than a couple of dozen sheets of crumpled up paper this time, and my son walks in.  I turn to him and ask him what I should draw- naturally, he says "Godzilla" (he is OBSESSED with Godzilla).  So I grab one of his 'Zilla toys for reference and go to town:

Now he wants me to do it up in color biggrin

I really need to get back in the swing of things, that was totally fun.

Good stuff. Now ask yourself what you want to draw, and never stop.

This topic is pretty sketch!!!

In other news, my drawing skills are really good!  I just use invisible ink so no one else can see them.

Nice drawings!

I can draw an excellent stick man!  He can be drawn with or without his optional stick sword. smile

I also used a toy as a reference for that Gamera drawing, so it wasn't from memory.

great stuff.

I am not so much the typical sketcher really.  I do a lot of tribal design and such.  I dont have a scanner, so I will snap some pics of some stuff I have done, but I wanted to share some of the artwork my GF has done.

Pics ehind cut, for size.

This is one of sephiroth she painted on a wood block.  i convinced her to enter it into the art competition at the Sci Fi con two years ago, and she didnt even get a honorable mention.  We went to the award ceremony and the pieces that won in the 18+ category were garbage for the most part.  not to mention, one guy who won, had a computer image he had printed out. and done with Corel, of The Punisher.

Anyways.  Sephiroth

This is a painting we have hanging in the 'kitchen area' of the apartment.  not sure when she did it.  She brought it with her when she moved in.
