Rolling Stone magazine did a readers poll to vote for your favourite Solo Beatle song
(It says 'Solo',but some Macca Songs are credited to Paul McCartney and Wings, while a couple of the Lennon songs are NOT credited to Plastic Ono Band when they should be...instead of Solo,it should've just said 'Post Beatles',but i guess we know what it means Tongue )

RollingStone.com

This is the Top Ten
10-Paul McCartney and Wings:-Live and Let Die
09-George Harrison:-All Things Must Pass
08-John Lennon:-Instant Karma
07-Ringo Starr:-Photograph
06-John Lennon:-Working Class Hero
05-Paul McCartney and Wings:-Band on the Run
04-George Harrison:-What is Life
03-George Harrison:-My Sweet Lord
02-Paul McCartney:-Maybe I'm Amazed
01-John Lennon:-Imagine

I like all songs, but there are probably some other favourites of mine that have not been included or i think they should be higher than some of the ones included

what about you?,any Post Beatle stuff you think they have missed?
Got My Mind Set On You?,Woman? It Don't Come Easy?,Pipes of Peace?

Ringo is underrepresented.

I don't think Live and Let Die is among McCartney's top 5 post Beatle's song but it was important getting him back in the eye of oldsters once the fab four broke up. It was the first James Bond movie I saw and I remember my sister saying "Poor Paul being reduced to playing a James Bond Movie theme" and my dad saying "That's a big deal. People listen to those themes!" I'm not sure if he even connected poor Paul with the Beatles.

Working class hero does nothing for me, but I wasn't there.

Back Off Boogaloo - Ringo
No No Song
Give Me Love - George
All Those Years Ago
Give Peace a Chance - John
Just Like Starting Over
My Love - Paul
Junior's Farm
Jet
Maybe I'm Amazed
Ebony and Ivory
The Girl is Mine
David Bowie's Fame has John Lennon all over it.
BadFinger's No Matter What you Are has George all over it.
Basketball Jones is George on Guitar.
I didn't care for the Traveling Wilbury's but there you go...

Something for everybody there....You could make a pretty decent double album with some filler and what's in metalicorphan's post.

I really can't stand Live and Let Die.  I know it's popular, but it's for reasons I just can't understand.

I'd have to find room for John Lennon's Woman and Just Like Starting Over and George Harrison's Give Me Love.

That means taking off Live and Let Die, Instant Karma and Working Class Hero.

I quite like Mind Games

I do have a soft spot for Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey as its a fun song from Macca.....

"Haaaaaaaands across the water,Haaaaaaaands across the sea"  icon_biggrin

and actually I Love Live and Let Die(Both Versions),I like how it had its own little Bond Theme

But you know these lists could consist of anything and someone could agree or disagree, even as artists after The Beatles, all 4 have great big catalogues
