A true genius has left us today.  When I say his mark on cinema can never be fully appreciated, I mean it sincerely.

this is one of those 'he was still alive?' moments for me; I thought he had passed away a while back.  I'm probably mixing him up with someone else.....

RIP Ray, and thanks for some great VFX frown

This is a good overview of his work, mute/ignore the music though.

HDNet has been running the original Clash of the Titans lately too.  Still a great film to this day.

Yeah, my sadness is for the special effects community, and movie fans, of course. His distinctive approach defined effects for a generation.

A true master,he showed them all how it was done, but must admit i thought he died years ago

While i would like to say the Skeleton fight would be the thing i remember him most by,unfortunately at 4-5 years old my Dad took me to see Clash of the Titans,we were front row,the screen must of been 600ft and i was loving the film..until this scene appeared on the screen

the memory i still have of that film is me crying as loud as i could and running out of the cinema with my Dad trying to catch me,and the rest of the people in there laughing
