Only because the Saints kept going for the strip. If they would have just tried to tackle him, he would have been down much further back. People kept coming up to me all week talking about how much a of a sure thing this game was for the Saints and I kept telling them nothing is ever sure. I'm not sure what happened to the Saints secondary in the first half of the game (and beginning of the second), but there is no reason to have receivers be that wide open. Saints definitely deserved to lose the game. If Atlanta plays the Seahawks next week, the Falcons will mop the floor with them (people said that about the Saints, but I've watched them all season and knew they were very inconsistent this year). They might have a shot against the Bears.

BEAST MODE.
I'm lucky I didn't hurt myself during that run. I could barely believe it. I kept expecting him to hit the sideline or get tackled, but, NO! BEAST MODE STOPS FOR NO ONE. And then Hasselbeck downfield sort of throwing a block?
So fantastic!

Who would have thought the Saints/Seahawks game would be the better one to view? I had to go to work before the second half started so I missed most of the action and I only DVR'ed the Colts/Jets game. Grats to the Seahawks and now I'm hoping that Green Bay beats the Eagles then the Falcons and Seattle beats Chicago so that the NFC championship game is played in Seattle. Imagine the horror that radio and TV hosts would spew if a 7-9 team is hosting that game.
I'm a poor supporter of my team as I couldn't bear to watch the 49'ers play this year but I'm excited to see what Harbaugh can do so I'm tying on my track shoes and getting ready to jump back on the bandwagon. Nice hire.

Thank you Packers!
Crazy schedule for next week. I think SEA has a chance against CHI. Well of course they have a chance, but you know what I mean.
I really hope Giselle cuts Brady off this week so that he's fired up this week to destroy the Jets again like they did last meeting. That would be so awesome.

Of course Seattle has a chance. They already beat the Bears once this year, but the Bears are an improved team since that meeting.

True, but it doesn't help when you lose by 5 points after your kicker misses two field goals.

I think over the last 4 weeks I think the defenses have figured him out. It was similar when he was in Atlanta. He was good a for a few good years, and prior to the dog incident, he started having troubles, because defenses found his weekness. Blitz him to death and contain him.

I don't know...Vick threw for 292, 1 TD and 1 int and rushed for 33 and a TD. Pretty dang decent game against a really good defense.
Can not wait to see the Steelers/Ravens game...gonna be brutal.

While I don't generally enjoy defensive matchups as much as offensive games, Steelers-Ravens games tend to be pretty outstanding and brutally hard hitting. I look forward to this game more than any other this upcoming weekend.

True, but it doesn't help when you lose by 5 points after your kicker misses two field goals. It doesn't help when a return team member is pushed into the ball and the refs call it for the kicking team. It doesn't help when the QB fumbles the ball at the 24-yard line practically giving the other team a TD. It doesn't help when the receiver drops the ball close to the end of the half on a sure touchdown pass.... There were a lot of factors, but the two missed FG's weren't the only factors. I will say that the game was very sloppily officiated. Some truly headscratching moments.

As a Ravens fan I'm not looking forward to this game as I would have rather faced the Pats. This game Saturday will not be for the faint of heart for either team's supporter. It will most likely come down to the final two minutes as usual

Another moment of greatness in Philidelphia Eagles Fans Sportsmanship: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/11/another-proud-moment-for-philadelphia-sports-fans/Philadelphia sports fans always claim they get a bad rap. Sure, they can be boorish. But so are fans in New York and Boston!
Eagles fans got so upset Sunday about their unfair stereotype that they had to take it out on something, like the car of a Packers fan.
A Wisconsin native that now works in Pennsylvania as a college professor attended the Eagles-Packers game with his father. His Toyota Camry was “stomped on, kicked and beaten.” Mirrors were broken, wipers torn out, and dents made on the hood, trunk, and roof.
“When I left Green Bay everyone said to be careful — the Philadelphia fans have a reputation,” Peter Coenen (the father) told the Morning Call of Lehigh Valley. “My son had a Green Bay Packers shirt on. As we drove in, they gave us the finger.”
Oh, we didn’t realize the guy had a Packers shirt on. Dude was asking for it.

Would you expect them to move their wedding to accommodate a playoff game they didn't know existed when making plans? Just keep checking the score on your phone.

It's in a hotel with a bar, so I'll be able to sneak away. And with most of the people attending being from Pittsburgh, I'm sure I wont be the only one.
