Oh god...  It is kind of sad how adding Johnny Depp to a movie now makes me cringe rather than get excited.  All they need to do is replace Raimi with Tim Burton to guarantee I don't see it.

I'm the opposite, Downey Jr guaranteed I'd see it eventually, Depp guarantees I'll see it in the theaters.

Im kind of middle of the road on this.  I think Downey Jr. and Depp are both excellent actors.  Each one would bring a different take to the role Im sure but I think either one would do a great job.

Yeah, I liked and respected a lot of what Depp was doing 10-15 years ago, but lately I find that I really don't like much of what he does.

Exactly. I liked a lot of what he did during 21 Jumpstreet. He seemed somewhat more of a serious actor then. Now he seems to have become a joke with no depth to his characters and used only for the next big hollywood blockbusters. To me, it feels as if He and Robert Downey Jr have gone in different directions. RDJ has gained a lot of respect in the industry after having turned his life around and seems like a totally different person now, but I honestly can't see what people see in Johnny Depp these days. It's like he's wasted his career to cheap popcorn thrills.

It did look better than i was expecting,and i liked the Black+White to Colour think(and the ratio adjustment)..not sure if its a film i want to see at the Cinema though
