Anyone watch the opening episode? Thoughts?

I'd give mine, but a few friends are working on it, so I fear I might be viewing it with a bias.

An okay start. Some characters give way too many exposition dump responses to small questions, which aren't needed that much since you can build those characters up over time.

Not looking forward to the silliness that comes from the ending reveal though.

Overall though, it's a typical, if a bit rushed, CW show start. At least the acting was decent, they delivered those exposition dumps like pros.

If I gave Agents of Shield 6 episodes before it got good, I can easily give The Flash more than that to settle into characters.

I was really looking forward to it but I felt it kind of fell a bit flat.  I think I fell asleep a couple times during the episode so that's not saying much.  I'll have to check it out again to give a better review.

I did not realize that his Dad was the 90's Flash.  That's kind of cool.  Maybe I just didn't recognize him without the rubber muscles.

I loved it - appealing cast, nice special effects, intriguing (albeit familiar) story setups, and it was simply enjoyable to watch.  I'm glad to see the show do well in the ratings, especially since Agents of SHIELD keeps dropping despite being better than ever frown

Upon my second viewing (awake) I definitely enjoyed it much more.  I still think the premiere lacked something, maybe a more interesting villain.  The weather dude was just kind of lame IMHO.  I mean what the heck was he planning to do with his stupid tornado lol?

All in all I think the show has a lot of potential, definitely excited to see the addition of Robbie Ammell for more shirtless Ammell goodness.
