coming in 2013, provided we don't all die before then. I wonder who they're going to get to play the new Lara, maybe Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra? of course they do say 'young Lara', so maybe it will be an unknown. [edit] I'm assuming Jolie is out at this point just because of age.

I think in this case they need to reboot it because the 2nd movie was so bad it booted the franchise into the grave.  I own the 1st and quite like it. My only criticism of how it was handled is that the plot was pure Pulp adventure, whereas the game aren't so formulaic. If they want the movies to capture the puzzling elements and true feel of the game they need a script that lets the audience think a bit for themselves. |

Well if Jolie is too old, those other two would be as well. They're all in their mid to late 30's. Rhona Mitra is the youngest at 35, Jolie is 36 and Beckinsale is 38. |

I was under the impression that the one coming in May was the first live action Thor film in the Marvel franchise to ever make it to the screen. ...which is why it's vital that we reboot it before it hits theaters. You can NEVER be too early for a reboot. edit:  well, it seems there HAS been a live action thor in the past. |

well, they're still working on a reboot, but I guess a 2013 release is out of the question now. however, they are bringing in Crystal Dynamics to consult on the reboot. |
