Trying to think who would make a good villain for the third movie....Segeal maybe? My choice would be Roddy Piper.
Nice... Roddy "Sam Hell" Piper. I concur. maybe Carl Weathers. or Michael Biehn. Hell, maybe Mr. T. heck, maybe all of them on a evil version of The Expendables.

Throw in Jesse Ventura, Bill Duke, and Wesley Snipes and you've got the ultimate Evil Agency.

Biehn needs the mustache though. Otherwise we won't know if he's evil.

That got me to thinking about a classic TV villain completely identified as evil by his mustache.

Biehn is great at doing crazy eyes. Also they should get Sho Kosugi or Sonny Chiba

Saw it this afternoon...if you liked (or loved) the first one then you'll like (love) the second one. No real slow parts, tons of fights and explosions and it's just long enough to not drag. Not a whole lot of Norris in it though (10 mins or so).

Was supposed to see Iron Maiden tonight, but because of the weather and the seats, my buddies and I are going to skip out. Right now, it's a toss-up between seeing this or Dark Knight Rises again...

Although I wasn't dying to see this, I think I might catch it on a Rave Xtreme ( http://www.ravecinemas.com/xtreme_locations.aspx) screen later this morning. I've wanted to see what that kind of screen's like, and if the movie's remotely entertaining, it's a good excuse to check it out.

Saw this last night with my brother-in-law. I'm not sure I enjoyed it as much as the original. The one-liners were even more painfully bad than the first film (I know it's part of the genre, but it seemed too forced this time around), the action was fast but not necessarily action-packed, but overall it was still fun. I enjoyed it, but I guess some of the positive reviews raised my expectations a little too much.
Van Damme seemed to steal the show for me. Norris was fun, but Van Damme looked like he was really having fun in his role.

Just got back from my morning show. This was actually the same screen I saw Prometheus on. Rave Xtreme is a cool, slightly curved, wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-ceiling screen, but it's not the biggest theater in the complex. Still looked, sounded good. I never saw the first film so I don't have any comparison to draw there. I had a good time with it, even if some of the lines are a little too obvious to be funny. Chuck Norris really is only in about 10 minutes of the film - he's 72, so I could understand him not doing a lot. Jet Li has one good early fight scene and then disappears from the movie. Arnie and Bruce are reasonably fun, but really are more like extended cameo appearances. I actually thought the one cast member who's at the beginning of his career rather than at the end (Liam Hemsworth) gave the most appealing performance, if not the funniest. Nan Yu (the lone female cast member) is pretty cool, hope to see her in something else. For all the handwringing over TDKR's violence, I think there's a bigger bloody body count in the first 10 minutes of this than in ALL the Batman movies combined. The trailers went on and on and on and on and on. OMG, it was like almost a half hour of trailers, including for Red Dawn and Ah-nuld's comeback film (Last Stand). Anywho, overall I enjoyed it. The whole thing's utterly preposterous so I just enjoyed the sheer preposterousness, rather than nitpicked all the plot points that bothered me (as with Prometheus, TDKR and others this summer). I do have a few small nitpicks/observations: Spoiler for Hiden: OK, if these mercenaries are so smart, why wouldn't they "secure" the area around the fallen plane before sending their sniper guy off alone? Yeah I know, no movie without that. I just feel like screenwriters in general have gotten really lazy about explaining why a character or characters does something stupid or fails to do something that someone in their line of work would do as a matter of course (even The Hurt Locker suffered from that, imho). And once Van Damme has them all face down in a field in the middle of nowhere, why not just shoot all of our heroes there? I know, no movie. Why not just have a little plot point that explains why he can't just kill them all? Finally, when Van Damme near his end is dropping his weapons and saying "Do you want to kill me like a lamb, or like a man," it was really a golden opportunity for Stallone's chracter to fill him full of holes and then go "Baaaaaaaaaa..."

Needed popcorn and mindless action to cheer me up after work yesterday so I caught a late matinee. While I enjoyed it, that may be more due to the fact that I can watch Dolph Lundgren all day long. That man amuses me to no end for some reason.
I wasn't impressed with Norris' appearance. And Schwarzenegger looks more like my dear, departed Grandmother than he does the Arnie from his heydays. His lips especially look odd...

Well Norris is like 72 or something. I wouldn't expect him to do too much. I haven't seen it but am looking forward to it at some point.

It's not that I expected him to do more, I'm just tired of the whole "Chuck Norris is so tough" meme.
I did like that they repeatedly brought up and joked about Lundgren's rather impressive, real life academic background.
