I'm as confident of this being the title as I was of "Blue Harvest" and "Revenge of the Jedi" in 1983. 

Of course it's good to be able to use Trek as a verb now. Instead of threatening to "open a can of Star Trek" on someone's posterior, you can threaten to "Star Trek them!"

The real question is.... is "Star Trek" a noun-phrase or a verb-phrase?

I guess at work I'll start saying, "I"m gonna Star Trek out for a sandwich!" and "I really need to Star Trek to the restroom!" 

Which is my stupid way of saying I think the title is silly, but I hope the movie is entertaining, and at the very lease, it sounds like JJ might tone down the lenses flares a bit. You might not have to wear sunglasses in the theater this time.

Hopefully there'll be less lense flare, and the engine room will look less like a brewery/sewer treatment plant. 

Given mine and many others' feelings about Prometheus, I remain nervous about Lindelof's involvement in the script for this.

Still, I'll be first in line. Maybe even a midnight show. I jab at it because I care.

Even looking at the poster from a small bit away from my screen, I can barely see the words "Star Trek"  

Imagine looking at it from across the street on a bus stop or while driving up on a billboard.

Plus, it seems a little too reminiscent (i.e. plagaristic) of the Batman posters.

Not saying the movie will be bad at all, BTW, just not loving the poster.

Very ponderous, with everyone looking like they're in a really sad perfume commercial. I just hope they don't forget to have a sense of fun, which was what I enjoyed most about the first film. Though I gather this trailer is mostly to establish Cumberbund... Batch... As vengeful bad ass.

It looks like they're doing a visual callback to Spock's death, but I can't believe they'd do that. 1. It's too early in the reboot universe to impact the lives of Kirk, Spock and McCoy. 2. That death was so iconic that there is no way that they could rival it even if they waited 5 more films. I hope that it is just a fakeout.

It may be there to make us think particular things about Cumberbatch's character(which the rest of the trailer doesn't necessarily shy away from), though I kahn't put my finger on who they want us to think he's playing.
