Isn't Kobe beef famous for its marbling? And isn't jerky supposed to ideally be made with lean meat? Isn't making jerky out of Kobe beef therefor a waste of Kobe beef?

Yeah, so it turns out this was probably a giant scam.  Thankfully Kickstarter suspended the campaign before it finished so nobody is out money, but they had reached $120k in funding before that happened.   

Part of me almost gets even more suspicious, though, and wonders if this wasn't a stunt to get more publicity for the Kickstarted movie that supposedly helped reveal this scam.

Yeah Kobe would not make good jerky (too much fat), you want the meat as lean as possible. I have a dehydrator and make my own from time to time and its far and away better than anything I've ever bought at the store. The recipe I use is Cliff's Fantastic Jerky, google it up.

Start your own kickstarter. 120k is nothing to sneeze at!  Or have Jerky Kickstarters been ruined forever now?
