Took my son and my nieces to see this (8,8,6).

Was a fantastic film. Overall, I enjoyed it more than Wreck It Ralph, though I did enjoy WIR quite a bit.

He's the most powerful by far, too.  Great character.

Really enjoyed the film, though not quite as much as I was hoping.  Something kept it from being Must See, but still much better than some of the dreck they crank out for kids.

I would recommend the movie as well.  It's not as good as How to Train Your Dragon but it's miles ahead of most of the movies that Dreamworks puts out.

I found the characters refreshingly different. Pitch Black was sinister without seeming to be unlikeable - he was misunderstood, and one could sympathize with him a little.

I personally enjoyed Jack - he looks like an older version of my son.

It's also a great movie for both boys and girls, and there weren't any too-terrifying scenes to frighten my six-year-old niece.
