nope, not Elder Scrolls related, but Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman in a new sci fi adventure. Earth has been devastated in an alien invasion, but apparently not all is as seems.

Definitely looks promising! That poster format seems to be all the rage in Hollywood...

This movie is starting to turn in decent reviews. I personally like Cruise in this type of movie, so I think I'll be catching this one at the theater. That it's also co-stars Freeman is a big added bonus in my books.

I really liked it. Best sci fi film I've seen in a long time. Two thumbs up.

Saw this yesterday, really enjoyed it.
Definitely worth seeing open frame in IMAX.

I saw this on a normal screen with D-Box seating. The moving seats made it more fun for me, but the gf wasn't impressed; tho I do think my kids would love them. The movie was pretty good.

I saw this on IMAX this afternoon and really enjoyed it. The plot had enough twists to keep things interesting, Cruise turns in a very good performance, and the visuals are fantastic. Put all of those positives together, and Oblivion is one of the better sci-fi movies I can remember seeing in the last few years.

Rotten Tomatoes has it at a 59% ( critics ) and 68% ( viewers ) which isnt too bad for a Sci-fi flick as even good tend to be underrated by critics. I also think that Cruises rep probably lowers the reviews a bit and expect them to come up as more people see it. Most everyone who I know who has seen it liked quite a bit.

I wasn't even going to put this one in my netflix queue based on several poor reviews that I've read, but the Forum Effect is strong...and it's not like all that many sf movies come out anyway. It should float to the top of my list in a year or so.

Saw it with my family on the IMAX over the weekend. They hated it. I thought it was meh (at best).
