I like that they want to keep it in its origonal 60's setting.  I watched this show as a kid and loved it.  Reading the article on this there was one suggestion to have Brad Pitt play the role of Ilya Kuryakyn.  That would just be wrong.  Not saying I dont like Pitt as an actor, hes actully done so great stuff like 12 Monkeys and Snatch but I just dont even come close to seeing him in this role.  Clooney on the other hand would work great as Napoleon Solo.

Illya Kuryakin was my idol when i was a kid.  They used to play reruns of this on some local channel every night around 10pm and I would sneak out of bed just to watch them.  So dang cool.  I even read the novels.  I liked the tie in between T.H.R.U.S.H. and Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes that they established in the series of books.

For me, this movie will hinge on who they get to play Illya.  I swear to God, if they go with a comic relief like Will Smith or David Spade, I will write a scathing series of letters...AND I WILL USE FOUL LANGUAGE!
