Directed by Joss Whedon, starring Agent Coulson, Winifred Burkle, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, Malcolm Reynolds, Simon Tam, Andrew Wells, Topher Brink and more. it was filmed last year at Whedon's house in 12 days, but hasn't found a distributor yet. hopefully someone will pick this up in the uptick of Whedon-mania after The Avengers and we can see him working again with some of the people he has done his best work with.

Wow - that seems pretty special! Its like he gathered his Dreamteam for this movie - very interested, mostly because of the actors and what Joss Whedon has shown he can do with them.

Since you are British, I assume you know what this is and is just making a joke?

I quite enjoyed Kenneth Branagh's version released in 1993 ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107616/). There was some question about certain casting choices seeming to be celebrity stunt-casting (Keanu Reeves, Denzel Washington and Michael Keaton; it also had one of Kate Beckinsales earliest roles) at the time, but it didn't bother me. It probably helped draw some people to see it who might not have otherwise (it had about an $11M budget and made about $22M in its early summer 1993 run). It felt funny and contemporary though, and you didn't have to be a Shakespeare fanatic to enjoy it. I'm sure Whedon will deliver that too. fwiw, Nathan Fillion is playing Dogberry (a detective, if I recall), that Keaton got some grief for playing very broadly in Branagh's film. Keaton at times seemed to be acting in an entirely different movie.

Keaton at times seemed to be acting in an entirely different movie. You guys are crazy. I loved Keaton as Dogberry. Then again, I loved him as Batman. And Beetlejuice. And Billy Caufield. And Johnny Kelly. Ok, so maybe I'm biased. Whedonite, and i like most of the actors, but don't think that trailer really did the movie any favors.
