So based on that Catwoman cover, it would appear that her "ears" are maybe the goggles you see in other pictures, but flipped up and not in use?

Weird. AMC doesn't even know yet which theaters will host the "Batman trilogy" July 19th, but tickets are now on sale: AMC tickets for The Dark Knight Trilogy on Thursday, July 19th (TDK Rising at midnight) http://www.amctheatres.com/movies/the-dark-knight-trilogy?showdatetime=07-19-2012July 19 at 6 p.m. [i.e., Batman Begins at 6 p.m.]
The legend is almost at its end, the Caped Crusader's fate is unknown, and a fire will rise on the gritty streets of Gotham.
Watch Christopher Nolan's visionary tale in its entirety, starting with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight leading up to the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.
NOTE: AMC is still negotiating with our studio partners and IMAX on which theatres will be showing The Dark Knight Trilogy in IMAX. Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be the first to know.
Tickets - $25 for the Trilogy, $40 in IMAX (Select Markets Only). Includes an exclusive Trilogy Poster while supplies last. I think I can do it, maybe just take Thursday afternoon and then Friday off that week. Still, sitting in even the most comfortable theater from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. or so (including the inevitable trailers) is grueling and perhaps a Young Man's game.

Of all summer movies this season, The Dark Knight Rises is by far my most anticipated film since The Dark Knight, and it would be an absolute treat to watch the trilogy in IMAX. But I have cervical neurosurgery scheduled just nine days prior, which will likely postpone my ability to see The Dark Knight Rises for quite some time.

I spoke a little about it in here. To summarize, I've been dealing with tingling, numbness, and shooting pain running down my left arm for almost eight months. Symptoms have included numb fingers, pain and weakness in my triceps and grip, pain through my left pec and into my left deltoids, pain and tingling along my left scapula, and pain, stiffness, and limited mobility in my neck. I equate it to hitting your funny bone really, really hard and having that feeling never fully go away. My doctors discovered a severely herniated disc in my neck (C6-7) which has been impinging a nerve and causing my symptoms. Two epidural cervical spine injections and physical therapy have been completely ineffective, and symptoms have continued to increase in severity. An EMG nerve conduction test also showed measurable nerve damage in my triceps and hand, already causing increasing weakness and eventual atrophy. Whether the damage is irreversible is currently unknown, so there's no guarantee I will regain the strength I've currently lost. But, surgical correction will at least halt the damage and limit its extents. I will be having cervical disc replacement neurosurgery on July 10th at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Surgery will involve anterior entrance through the front of my neck, complete removal of the herniated disc, and replacement with a prosthetic joint and maybe additional synthetic padding based upon surgeon assessment. Sorry for the derailment. Kind of funny that I'm more upset about being unable to watch the Batman trilogy in IMAX than having someone mess around in my spine. Priorities and all that. It wasn't until I paid closer attention to the film's release date that I realized surgery will negate my ability to attend a midnight show.

If you don't have an AMC theater complex near you, Regal Cinemas/United Artists Theaters/Edwards Theaters are also participating in the TDK Marathon July 19: http://www.fandango.com/regalsdarkknightmarathon_156401/movieoverview*Also $25. I don't think they have IMAX theaters. Free Small Popcorn and 20 extra credits on your Regal Crown Club Card with ticket purchase! I might be more inclined to that. I'm still trying to use up a $50 Regal gift card. One of those stupid things. I bought it as a gift for friends but it turns out their nearest theaters are a Bow Tie Cinemas complex.

Not sure whether this has been brought up before, but apparently the film runs for 165 minutes, although that sounds long, its only 15 minutes longer than The Dark Knight(although my DVD says 145 minutes) Digital SpyAlso, for some reason i thought this opened 20th June, but its 20th July ...i was gonna go and see this next week, guess its finally time for Avengers Assemble

Is this the one I heard has a MASSIVE SPOILER in it? I'm not sure, there is maybe one bit if you're not familiar with the Knightfall storyline but between all the trailers I cannot remember if it has been mentioned yet. my best suggestion is that if you are worried then skip it.

A new 13-minute featurette was released. While I didn't find it spoiler-ish per se, there is some footage there you might wanna skip. I'll dig up a link later (saw it on Flipboard on my iPad). I did take July 19-20 off. I'm not sure if I can still get a ticket to the trilogy showings that Thursday (and given that I've seen BB and TDK a hundred times on TV and DVD, maybe I don't even want to), but I do hope to see a midnight show as I did for the previous two films. My main concern is bladder-oriented. I can wait for the duration of one movie, but probably not for three and since I'll be flying solo, I'd rather not risk losing my seat. btw, I think I know the secret ending... (only a spoiler if you never saw Inception) I probably already used that joke before. Sorry, I'm like Hollywood, I repeated myself over and over.

So... do I stay up after the midnight premiere and pull an all-nighter, or do I get an hour of sleep?

So... do I stay up after the midnight premiere and pull an all-nighter, or do I get an hour of sleep? Well, realistically, even in a midnight show, you're sitting through at least 15 minutes of trailers. So the movie'll start about 12:15 a.m. at the earliest. It's about 2 hours and 45 minutes long. So the movie's gonna end around 3 a.m. or so. So I don't know how far away you work from the theater, but I'm thinking there's not going to be much room time-wise to get an hour of shut eye. But I'd recommend getting something, even a half-hour nap, for your health's sake (just make sure you have an alarm loud enough to wake you). I'm thinking for me it'd be smarter to just take an afternoon nap to make sure I don't fall asleep during the movie at the 2:50 a.m. mark. "What's the ending, Blackjack! What happened! Did Batman die? Did he marry Bane! Did all of Gotham go boom!" "Eh. I dunno. I fell asleep." I'm going to try to see this in IMAX. I've mentioned that I think I prefer Real3D to IMAX3D (Real3D just seems clearer and the glasses are more comfortable). Thankfully, since Nolan doesn't believe in 3D, I don't have to worry about that. Though maybe that's already sold out by now. Duh. The IMAX midnight show's already sold out. Oh now wait. I GET IT. You only get to see IMAX if you do the Trilogy marathon, which isn't sold out. Maybe I'll just do something fun in D.C. Thursday, and catch a late morning IMAX show Friday. Maybe watching a midnight movie til 3 a.m. is a young man's game.

I'm sure we posted these earlier, but here's some of the Batman Trilogy Movie Marathon order info pages: AMC (theater links take you to Fandango to order): http://go.amctheatres.com/tdkrFandango compilation link (the "'The Dark Knight Rises' Tickets Now on Sale" item links to Fandango order pages for most participating theater chains): http://www.fandango.com/thedarkknightrises/movieguide/I guess I'll see if I can do the AMC IMAX trilogy stuff. I'm not sure if spending about 11 hours in a mall is my idea of fun but I got nothing better to do. You get a poster and a lanyard (like for the AMC Best Picture Showcase events at Oscar time) at the theater, and I think that lets you go out of the theater (and re-enter) if you need to.

Unfortunately, I can't make the marathon due to sitter issues around that date. However, I have purchased IMAX tickets for that Saturday! Bring on the bat.
